How Music Helped Me Back From the Edge of Suicide | NOISEY

The bath, where my suicide attempt took place, was the only place I felt comfortable. I would perch my laptop on a chair, and replay the same song until the rest of me reached saturation point.

This is the first thing I’ve written in a while, and I’m glad I finally did. Grouper has such a strange effect on me- she really stands out over every other artist like a halo over my life or something to that effect. I also want to write more about the bath, so keep eyes peeled for that one

the Chapess anthology: group interview

Hi pals, as some of you know i’m working on an anthology style Chapess book. It’s gonna be a collection of all my fav bits from the first 9 issues of the zine plus a load of new stuff including, i hope a sort of group interview which will in part be made up of the answers collected in this survey. Being told to be domineering is no where near as tragic as being limited and placed in a position predetermined to suffering and submission. That is the basic difference between how society attempts to manipulate men and women. Not being allowed to be vulnerable is not equivalent to not being allowed to be strong. Enforcing weakness onto women makes them easier to control and subjugate, while enforcing dominance in men enables them express power over other people. This system is intentional.
