Like i've said, it depends on what the goal of this fake relationship is. It also depends on how far they're willing to go to control the narrative, how desperate they are and how long she's signed on for.

Worst case scenario this is followed up by a gay denial (99% sure this won't happen), or we'll get a "Not with Connor" denial or a friendzoning between the two of them (calling each other "brother"). So a correcting of the Hudcon narrative of some sort.

Expected scenario is Hudson is shown "protecting" his gf again to show where his loyalty lies. First it was from Deux*oi, then from fans, and latest, the Paris paps. I hope we won't get him getting into it with fans on social media ala Louis Tomlinson, because the fan policing that follows are always detrimental to fandom.

Best case scenario is Hudson and Connor go back to set and act as nothing has happened and like they did during season 1. K fades into the background and we get murmurs of a break up and then a confirmation later.

Mmh, the tabloids did not gave make-up Influencer/Model gf of NG the same treatment. She seems to be of no importance for anyone. Just a couple of pap walks before and after the Sequel shooting and that's it. No red carpet. No beach pap pictures. No nothing.

The difference is if the non-celebrity is defined as a private person, a limited-person public figure or a public figure. There is a legal difference.

If the celebrity has brought the non-celebrity into the spotlight (popularly called a "hard lauch"), and the non-celebrity attends public events and red carpets with the celebrity, the person can no longer be defined as a private person. And that's when the tabloids and gossip pages are given the go ahead to give them the stunt gf treatment. They then go from being a private person to either a limited-person public figure or a public figure.

K is no longer a private person, but NG's girlfriend is. Also here are some examples of the stunt gf treatment given to non-celebrity stunt gfs.

They're both blatently queer and it's easy to clock them both if you're not biased. They're not closeted to anyone but the public, because the public needs vocal confirmation of sexuality in order to believe it (heteronormativity ugh).

I trust Jacob, as the gay man he is. He probably took one look at them, saw explicit short films of Hudson being fucked by men (no straight man would ever), saw Connors queer films, commercials and non-binary/genderqueer photo shoots and then saw them drooling all over each other during the chemistry test, and said "Lol, they're hired. The chemistry test footage is going into the vault".

What do you think of the sudden strong push of K to the front with pap shot, tmz, Elle article? She already walked 2 red carpet with media talking about her, so this recent push seems over the top. Ppl are speculating maybe H has landed or trying to land a big action movie role, like DC or marvel. But one of the article I read feel more like advertisement for K, with her tattoo business and IG handle, it feels like they want launch her as a public figure. But at the same time I don't see her going the influencer route because so far she's mostly at the background and doesn't demonstrate any personality. I'm quite disappointed with the blatant straight washing of H image right before s2 filming and now ppl are saying all the things he did previously with C is just bros being bros or worst accusing him of being queerbaiting and using C.

It's a standard tabloid stunt push. Remember this isn't a PR relationship, but a bearding relationship. They're not doing it for attention on themselves, for a narcissistic purpose or to promote their projects or business. It's a bearding relationship between a celebrity and non-celebrity where the goal is to convince the public they're loved up and in a relationship, and that Hudson is a taken man and into women.

I agree that the straight washing and the public narrative that's erasing Hudson's queerness is a slap in the face. The TMZ article was particularly procative and queer erasing/dismissive. I think Hudson needs to be careful if he wants to stay in the queer community's good graces. Pushing both a straight and a queer narrative at the same time, frolicking at the beach with his gf in the day and cosying up to men in a club at night (in the same day) usually don't end well. It has nothing to do with him possibly being bi/pan, but everything to do with two opposing narratives that can't both be true at the same time.

I miss the period that HC used to be openly affectionate with each other, posting each other on IG and the comments they leave. Them going silent on social media is expected due to their current fame, but I didn't expect all the HK drama to be ramp up to the nigh. They already reached the TMZ tabloid fodder with exclusive pap shot at the beach. What next? Fake engagement? I just hope all this Hollywood fame doesn't break HC apart. I'm still rooting for them to be out and proud one day.

I don't think it's all doom and gloom. They're both busy filming and promoting other projects and fulfilling other contractual obligations (commercials and fashion shows), so the absence is felt. It's going to be better when HRS2 starts filming.

Hudson has said that he'll never stop being physically affectionate with Connor, and they're starring on a queer show with a queer fanbase and fandom, so i'm not worried at all that we won't get to see them free and being their queer selves. I think the stunting we're seeing now (and the immediate queer pushback from Hudson at that club lol) shows us what he wants, who he is and what he's willing to do in order to gain some freedom with Connor.

I’m sorry but that still doesn’t quite explain why they didn’t just go the ‘single Hudson’ path. That was much more believable for literally everyone imo - him flirting with everyone on the dancefloor and having multiple men sitting on his lap and kissing his cheek. And Connor also publicly looks like he’s single so I don’t get why one has to sacrifice his reputation and maybe even mental health while the other one is living his best life. Again, as I wrote before, I would think Connor would want better for his bf if they are together. And propably even better for K as they look like they are getting well as friends. But making two people miserable so the third one is completely out of this mess? I don’t know…

If the goal is to seperate their brands and for them to keep a budding romantic relationship out of the public eye (they might want less eyes on them while they're feeling each other out and agree on what they want), then having them both stay publicly single isn't enough for their PR teams to help them control the narrative.

So this might all be temporary, until they've established themselves as individual figures with seperate careers, and until they've figured out their feelings and the logistics of being in a relationship as public figures with a large common fanbase.

If they also want to keep their sexuality a secret or have goals of doing action films, be a heartthrob for straight women, or appeal to straight men, then we're in a different situation alltogether with other motivations.

So the strategy their PR deploys depends on what their goals are. It's hard to tell yet why all this is happening, and i think it's too soon to determine. It's very much a developing situation where we could get a H and K breakup tomorrow or we could get "I'm not dating Connor" denial.

No, i don't think he will. Hudson and Nick are very different people with different goals, personalities, target audience and fanbase. While Nick appears only queer on film, and straight in real life, and has said as much, Hudson doesn’t. Hudson is well versed in queer art, queer culture, rejects toxic masculinity and is opely affectionate with men. Hudson doesn’t care that the public knows he's queer, Nick does.

Nick has a different approach to his closet. He doesn’t really like red carpets and events, he doesn’t seem to seek publicity on his public persona, and he keeps his fake relationship low key/low effort. Public enough that people know, but not more than that. Since he was willing to do a queer denial and claim he's straight, and publicly appear straight, he can get away with less stunting and pretending.

I think it would destroy Hudson to have to claim he's straight. I also think it would hurt his career and fandom, because fans would resist it (because it's just so untrue), and he'd be accused of queerbaiting and falsely presenting himself as queer.

As someone who has been active in multiple fandoms for years and has seen it all when it comes to PR, I can hardly believe how ignorant and gullible so many people still are. I thought enough celebrities had spoken out by now about the realities of the business—and queer celebrities, in particular, about the struggles they faced before coming out. There are so many interviews openly discussing what goes on behind the scenes: the pressure to present oneself in a way that allows others to profit from the celebrity; reports on fake relationships, beards, the game of hiding in the closet, intentional leaks to the press, how paparazzi are summoned, how public narratives and branding are deliberately manipulated, and so on. And yet, anons write to you claiming that the idea of ​​a fake relationship or a beard is implausible, or that Hudson could simply say no. Sure, he could do that. So could all the closeted gay men before him. But then you have to face the consequences. And in the worst-case scenario, that means the end of a career—whether as an actor, singer, athlete, or anything else. Please, people, these interviews are all publicly available. So that's why i have some time right now to answer asks. That's probably also why i feel like answering ask isn't a chore like it can sometimes be. I'm at the cottage (not a metaphor lol) and it's really peaceful just sitting here looking at the fjord.

Even though as larries we're well versed in stunting, closeting and PR tricks, it seems like there are some young and new people (with good intentions) in the HR fandom who is new to all this. I'm happy to explain or discuss things to make them understand or gain a new perspective. I really think people should educate themselves, even though it can make you pretty jaded. Just know i only get around to answering like 1/5th of all the asks i'm getting right now.

While fandom is chaotic, this is my view right now. I'm very much "touching grass" lmao.

While celebrities can benefit from paparazzi, and they will sometimes use them for things (Rihanna pregnancy announcement, Taylor Swift squad outings) that is absolutely not always the case. The many lawsuits between paps and celebs prove that. And fan photos that get sold are not the same as professional pap shots.

That's all true, but it's not very hard to differentiate between being papped organically and by tip off, where the paps are self motivated because they know the first pic of celebrity A being pregnant is cost/effort efficient for them, vs. a staged and set up contractually agreed upon pap job to sell a narrative, where they're guaranteed money from both the job and the sale (which is oftentimes guaranteed if it's a hired job).

Most pap pics fall in the latter category. Most paps wants a steady income where they don't risk being sued. They don't stalk celebrities or do stake outs unless they know the time spent and the risk is worth it. They also risk the celebrity relationship and hired jobs if they don't comply. It most often than not isn't worth it.

There’s no clear signs that he isn’t romantically attracted to women (the opposite is actually clearer) and we have no way to determine how he experiences sexual attraction, so, I feel as though we can’t properly comment on that and assume it as fact?

I’m also confused as to how he’s shown romantic or sexual attraction to any men when the only time we’re truely and explicitly seen anything that even slightly resembles that was in a fictional tv show where he is portraying a character.

Also, you mention something happened yesterday which made you certain he isn’t bisexual, but, rather, gay. I have no idea what happened yesterday, so, if that answers any of my questions, I apologise!

You don’t have to know someone to recognise signs of romantical and sexual attraction. You can read their body language, track their eye movement, see if they break intimate zones, are okay with touches, lick their lips, flush, stutter, turn shy, change tone of voice (Hudson does this a lot), bat their eyes, try to show off etc.

We've seen Hudson around both men and women who are clearly attracted to him and flirting with him. With men he's forthcoming, with women not so much. Previously, i put that down to him being in a relationship with a woman. Now that i don't think it's real, i can't anymore.

We've seen and observed Hudson in different situations, both sober and not sober. He's been to different events and met different people, and you can disagree or not, but i've yet to see him show romantic or sexual attraction to any of the women he's met. The women he meets seems to deem him safe, and i think that's because they don't pick up any attraction to them coming from him, and he befriends them quite easily. He seems to want to emulate them, rather than try to impress them. They way he speaks of women is always with admiration, idolisation and respect, without any hint of objectification, lust or attraction. It's the opposite the way he speaks of men. For example Tom Ford or Ilya (or Connor lol).

Also, Hudson in Milan was Hudson letting go of any inhibitions and he basked in the attention he got from men.

I can't find it right now, but the way he admired (thirsted) after than man dancing in front of him at the DJ booth in Milan. The way he struggled to make eye contact and stuttered around Kit Butler. Fans noticed and Hudkit was born.

Yesterday was a very desperate attempt at selling their fake relationship to the public (after several tries). They had to up the PDA, up the effort, and pay Backgrid and TMZ to sell their narrative. It is wholly unnecessary if the relationship is real. They have nothing to prove to anyone. If he's bi, there is no need to prove he's into women. The only thing he managed to prove was that even if he tries his hardest, he just can't fake or act out attraction to her. This is his ex. Someone he at one point was (or at least should have been) romantically and sexually attracted to. If he can't even channel old feelings (as an actor) or pull up a happy memory to fake it for five minutes for the camera, then he's either a bad actor (he's not) or he's moved veeeery far up the Kinsey scale...

I don't know anything about Hudson's sex life, and tbh I don't care, but I just want to say something as somebody that works in live theater. I 100% think representation is super important, and that queer actors having opportunities, and queer stories being told are both essential. I do think focusing too much on sexuality/sexual experience at an audition (basically a job interview) is a dangerous (and often illegal) road to go down. Some actors are not out. And even if they are out, there's a range of identities and experiences. And queer actors have historically been told they can't play straight, which is very silly of course. So I just think it's not a good idea to say "well, the character is queer, so the actor has to be as well." Acting is acting for a reason. Plenty of straight men feel totally comfortable and are willing to play queer characters. If you want to argue they shouldn't because of the representation issue, I would say that it's awesome when queer actors can play queer roles, but making it a requirement is a recipe for outing people and typecasting.

I think they're friends to exes to friends. I think the odd vibe between them is due to Hudson having romantic and sexual attractions towards Connor, while having to fake it with an ex who's now a friend. I think she's signed up for more than she bargained for, and their fake relationship is testing their friendship. So we see them being tense and cold towards each other one second, and leaning on each other the next.

In theory, it should be easy to fake it with an ex who's now a friend, but they both seems to find it difficult.

I'm not against it. I considered it up until yesterday and found it very plausible. I have always found it odd though, that he doesn’t seem to have any sexual or romantical attraction to women, like we clearly see he does with men. That includes his gf. On the other hand, the way he talks about sexuality being fluid, and the fact that his relationship with his gf was real at some point, has led me to think that it's very possible.

Then yesterday happened and confirmed certain things to me. Now i'm convinced he's gay.
