like midwestern gothic but colder with more moose

Here in Alaska, the thing that goes bump in the night might just be a moose or a raven...or it might not. What's Alaska gothic, exactly? Hell if I know enough to give a really precise description, but Alaska's plenty big enough to hide more than a few mysteries. The dark winters, bright summers, and endless stretches of forest or tundra are a little spooky already, and some of the quirks of Alaska life are just...weird.  So that's what you'll find on this very niche sideblog, more or less. Local news articles about cryptids and ghost stories? Sure. Photos of abandoned places like Whittier's Buckner Building? Hell yes. Actual pieces of writing in the traditional "location gothic" style? Well, a few already exist and I'm writing more, so yeah. Weird shit that just happens to be in Alaska somewhere and probably isn't really "Alaska gothic" but isn't not that? Look, I'm not that picky, I'll reblog anything that remotely qualifies. The occasional Tundra comic? Maybe, I don't know, I can't see the future. Moose? Yes, obviously. Moose are weird. Damn megafauna holdovers blocking my driveway and freaking out my dog.   Submissions are more than welcome, as long as they fall under the general category of "weird or creepy things that have something to do with Alaska". Canada stuff might or might not apply.
