I remembered my cousin @alperalta8 had a whole binder of comic books growing up that he’d let us see from time to time. Different heroes, villains, and stories neatly kept and organized between plastic covers in almost mint condition. I honestly never went out to buy and collect comic books myself, and didn’t start reading till later in life...but Kuya Peeps gave me the honor of having my first comic book EVER ever: Iron Man. This was before @robertdowneyjr took up the mantle to bring him to live, the MCU Film universe didn’t even EXIST back then. But honestly, it was a time that we didn’t need the films yet; no CGI, cinematic effects, or the big screen. All we needed was a few sheets of paper to visually aid our imagination to bring us to a different world and let the artists work come to life. Thank you to the man who gave most of us an escape from our troubles for a couple of minutes through amazing sketches and thrilling tales. Thank you for letting us see the possibilities of “what if” and allowing us to put on a suit of armor ourselves through each of his own creations; motivating us to do good and letting us know that we can all be heroes in our own way. You may have left us now, may your memory and legacy will live on forever as one of the greatest artists, story tellers, and inspirations of the world.
