I'm Albie Peralta. I'm a struggling Physical Therapy Student at the University of Santo Tomas Philippines, a striving photographer, a great friend, a nice guy, a hopeless flirt, and a kid that's down to earth with his head in the clouds . I speak out louder through pictures and letters more than my voice or speech. Basically when I found Tumblr it gave me the chance to combine all the randomness and chaos going on in my head all in one place, could be good or could be bad. I remembered my cousin @alperalta8 had a whole binder of comic books growing up that he’d let us see from time to time. Different heroes, villains, and stories neatly kept and organized between plastic covers in almost mint condition. I honestly never went out to buy and collect comic books myself, and didn’t start reading till later in life...but Kuya Peeps gave me the honor of having my first comic book EVER ever: Iron Man. This was before @robertdowneyjr took up the mantle to bring him to live, the MCU Film universe didn’t even EXIST back then. But honestly, it was a time that we didn’t need the films yet; no CGI, cinematic effects, or the big screen. All we needed was a few sheets of paper to visually aid our imagination to bring us to a different world and let the artists work come to life. Thank you to the man who gave most of us an escape from our troubles for a couple of minutes through amazing sketches and thrilling tales. Thank you for letting us see the possibilities of “what if” and allowing us to put on a suit of armor ourselves through each of his own creations; motivating us to do good and letting us know that we can all be heroes in our own way. You may have left us now, may your memory and legacy will live on forever as one of the greatest artists, story tellers, and inspirations of the world. Today marks the day we first met 6 years ago. I feel like I’ve told the story a thousand times, but it really is one of my favorites. You came to me at a weird time in my life; I was pretty much lost and didn’t know what I was doing so I drowned myself in Muay Thai and going to the gym. When I first saw you kicking at the heavy bags I promised that I would talk to you the 3rd time we’d see each other again. I don’t know why I was so specific, but it didn’t really matter because when the time finally came, YOU beat me to it (Let the record show that Lynette asked ME out, great choice and lucky her 😏😂). We went out to Starbucks on P.Noval, and after I bought you a Grande White Chocolate Chip Cream and chatted about Iron Man, Economics, Graphs, and a whole bunch of other stuff for what seemed like forever, here we are now. Who knew that day I’d have my future food buddy, animal lover, adventurer, future lawyer/congresswoman/president, and best friend after all you asked was “Are you from UST?”. Happy Father’s Day to all the Titos, Ninongs, Soon to be Dads, Dad Bod Buddies, and of course to my biggest inspiration, The Howard to my Tony Stark, and King of the Fur babies at home, My Dad! No words can describe how thankful I am to have someone to show me what it truly means to be a man and a father by example. You’ve given us everything and more, even when there was a time when all we had was each other. You’ve taught me the true meaning of sacrifice, hard work, dedication and perseverance. But what I truly hold dear is how much you’ve instilled in me that Family and the Time we spend with the people we love is what’s most important. I probably say this every year, and I will always believe it: If I were to become even just half the man and dad you have been to us all my life, I would truly be happy. Love You Dad!

Not my best shot of the trip but definitely the most meaningful. It’s ironic that being at this humble home on Stevenson road for the first time this trip would be our last stop before going home. It was a crazy ride from taking over Costa Rica, to walking almost about 15km and 20k + steps around the city of Toronto, Living and Dying at the same time doing crossfit, getting random wins at both ends of the spectrum from the Jordan Store to Marshalls, stuffing our faces, getting drunk, going on adventures, and just overall having an awesome time with the people I love the most. Although or trip didn’t last as long as we thought, it was still one hell of a ride. I wanted to take this picture because it serves as a great reminder that no matter where we are and no matter where we go; we always come back to Family. Thank you again to the Peraltas (including ate Kirsty), the Bautistas, The Sarrazins, The Bennetts, And The Enriques for making our stay a happy and memorable one. See you all again in December!
