I love how interviewers often ask Pompeii related questions and try to imply that it’s just the overplayed hit song and Dan and the band would be resentful towards it because it’s the only thing they’re known for in the general public, but Dan just very softly and humbly goes on and on about how it has changed his life and how much he loves this song because it has taken the band to so many different beautiful places and wonderful people. He just expresses his gratitute without a note of annoyance of the way the questions are asked and it warms my heart to see him smile like that.

ever since hearing this song reinspired at the beginning of “flowers” (along with don’t let go), i couldn’t stop thinking about how it could be imagined into a horror trailer…so i made my own little story, using bits of other things of course. i used clips from the american horror story themes, the seasons asylum and coven, a little twin peaks (i had to include a laura scream, c’mon), and a couple clips of the falling girl from the minute long two evils “wwcomms hello trailer” video bastille put out ages ago. • (twitter) •
