When I was in 4th grade two friends and I won a math thing. We beat the whole region, even the best students in our school. The day they gave me my diploma, I showed it to my dad. He was watching a soccer match so he told me not to bother him. I couldn't stop crying, then he came to my room and wanted me to show the diploma to him. I didn't want to anymore. Why does soccer have to be more important to him than I am? :(
I don’t think soccer means more to your dad than you, I think it was just a kind of in the moment thing where he was really into the game. I just feel like sometimes parents forget how their actions can come across because I know my parents don’t value the same stuff as I do for example each year I get nominated for an art/design award thing at school and one year I won and they don’t really care about that stuff and I know that so I guess sometimes it’s frustrating but that’s life! And good job for doing so well in the competition! Keep being a great person xxxxx
