âi know that it was one hundred percent yellow,â ian nodded with a grin, butterflies going crazy in his tummy at the sight of her blush and when she squeezed his hand. it was another of these moments where ian completly forgot that they werenât alone, and another time he could see himself leaning down to kiss alex, hopefully make her blush even more and at the thought of it all ian had to look away, feeling his own blush creep up his neck.Â
he looked up when will came back with the keys in hand, giving each pair their own and his heart dropped when henoticed there was only one left for both alex and him. one look at kyle and he knew that it was definitely not a mistake, and judging by the fake innocent smile on his best friendsâ lips he didnât bother booking a room with two beds, and was very proud of himself for that too.
he wasnât sure what to say, he could offer to have nadya switch with him so she and alex could share a room and kyle and himself, but he also didnât want to make alex think that he didnât want to share rooms with her for whatever reason. âuh, iâm sure thereâs two beds?â ian said slowly, kyleâs snort from the back only confiming his earlier thought that there definitly was only one bed.
âshut up, you know iâm right,â she shot back, eyes rolling with a grin stuck on her face nevertheless. âthat sky was as pink as the one out there right now.â alex gnawed gently on her bottom lip, once more thinking about that music video of his and how it seemed to be based entirely on their past. she wondered if any of the guys knew that but hoped not. if kyle did she was sure itâd only give him just one more thing to pester her about.
suddenly alex became all too aware of the fact that they were not alone and that holding ianâs hand was probably not the smartest idea should she be trying to get kyle off her back. she let her palm slip from his and shoved both hands back into her pockets, already missing the security of his digits wrapped around her own.
upon hearing kyleâs short laugh, alex knew her fear had been confirmed. she wasnât quite sure exactly how sharing a bed with ian would work out especially since the last time they were face to face theyâd christened hers. maybe a wall of pillows? maybe thereâd be a couch in the room? maybe they wouldnât end up tangled up under the sheets? but alex knew herself and had a feeling that even in her sleep sheâd subconsciously want to be as close to him as humanly possible. âweâll figure it out,â she said with as much confidence as she could muster, dismissively waving her hand in the air.
