                                   does  she  sounds  a  little  upset ?   ( when  isn’t  she  upset ? )   she  didn’t  mean  to  “ break  in ”  the  star  guardians  school,   ( whatever  that  means ).  her  portals  open  up,  she  pops  into  one,  and  they  spit  her  out  in  the … kitchen ? schools  had  those,  apparently.  thankfully,  zoe  is  quiet.   ( she  thinks  herself  quiet  as  if  she  hadn’t  knocked  over  several  breakable  objects  whilst  wandering  around. )   but  now  it’s  safe  to  assume  that  she  won’t  be  without  some  object  aimed  at  her  face  for  much  longer.

Skipping class was an art not many had mastered to the degree Ezreal had. No, no other student could say they knew the hall monitor’s pace and timing like he did, or knew most if not all of the camera’s blindspots! Sure, his routes were dangerous, but they were also the quickest. No one would expect a student on the run to go through the kitchen instead of the patio to sneak out. Big brained tactics.

So it’s an understatement to say his heart almost jumped out of his ribcage when he closed the door behind him as softly as he was able to, letting go of the handle only after he’d turned it all the way, only for the deafening sound of metal and glass clattering and shattering on the ground not a second later! He pressed his back to the wall and didn’t dare to breath —mission failed, we’ll get them next time— following the shadow moving in the walls until he was able to see its owner. Oh. It was a little girl.

“You must be new here.” Ezreal sighs in relief, leaving his poor hiding spot behind. Yeah, his friends were the coolest people in the school? Top of the teen food chain, social scale, whatever. How old was she, anyways? like, 12? she couldn’t be older than fourteen. So, a freshman maybe. Moody tween, he could handle this! “Yeah, school sucks, but you gotta go back to class. I’m here in uh— special senior business. Very important, very secret. You should go.”

“Uh-“ He never actually got the memo if their existence was supposed to be secret or not, I mean, how secretive can they be about monsters attacking the city and then suddenly being gone? What was for sure was that they were not to be caught in uniform by normal people. Maybe that was rule number one of the Starguardian Contract he never read.

AHRI CAN’T UNDERSTAND, why her teammates trusts her, despite their different characters and opinions. This is the day, when Ahri’s distressed by the past and the events, that destroyed her previous team and all the friendships. She thinks about her life and the issues, that she could solve differently, bringing better results, sitting alone in her room, despite the fact, that her current team had a good time in the guest room, watching the movies and discussing loudly, shouting over each other. Suddenly, she hears the sound of the door ajar and turns her head towards them. Ezreal…? Did you worry about my absence or what? You should have fun with the rest… She smiles.

“Oh well, you know it’s not movie night without you calling out the continuity errors and dragging the characters for their poor fashion.” Ezreal replies with half a smile, leaning to rest his weight on the doorframe. Truth is there was something missing in the atmosphere, but when he pointed it out to Sarah, she said that if he wanted to see Ahri, he’d have to go for her himself. Their leader had been distant lately, and not even her right hand seemed too happy about it. “So I came to give you some company. I know Kiko’s awesome, but it must be a nice change of pace to have someone who can talk actual words.”

He gives one amused glance to the familiar in question. “no offense, kiko.”
