thinking about clea dessendre again

clea hates that her baby brother gave his life to save their baby sister. loves that he saved their baby sister even at the cost of his life. clea who lost a brother and was steadily losing her sister.

clea dessendre who dealt with her grief with action. who would have lost her baby sister too, in spite of her brother's sacrifice, because alicia was drowning in a life she couldnt want and their parents are too caught up in their spat to remember their two remaining children. clea who pushes her dying sister into the world she had created with her brother, and deems it the safest place her sister could possibly be in.

clea who also constructs an endless tower with difficult enemies that can be defeated with the power of immense violence and tells her baby sister to have fun.

clea who would let alicia choose to stay in the canvas even at the cost of her life because it would mean letting her baby sister choose a life that she loves.

yeah!!! i played it last june, and im slowly replaying it again since the dlc came out and theres been a whole bunch of updates. tragically i lost my original savefile so im redoing the entire thing instead of NG+ nyooming but ah well

its been v fun!! its cool to have the proper meta-knowledge for what everyone is saying and doing this time round, the gameplay still fucks so severely as ever, and i love being so normal about eldest daughters that haunt the narrative 🙂‍↕️
