a thing about me is i basically never notice a wig or other kind of hairpiece in tv/movies. it has to be party city territory for me to even twig it. people will complain about characters' wigs looking bad and i will nod along but there is like a 90% chance i did not notice for a second while watching. i consider this mostly a blessing.

Starting watching tvl finale, had to turn it off 8 minutes in bc why r they trying to imply that Armand didn’t love Louis. Don’t get me wrong I’m all for Armand doing deeply fucked up things but I think this is misunderstanding why and how he is fucked up

I think this season of tvl is like. A collection of great moments woven together by really bad moments and a story that doesn’t make sense

I used to make fun of the Sherlock fans who thought there was gonna be a secret good Sherlock finale but I kinda get it now. Can there be a secret redo of the vampire Lestat please

All that said, I feel that it’s incredible in-character and iconic for Armand to tell the world that Lestat fucks his mom

Esp the Lestat/armand relationship is so central to tvl and it’s NOT just Armand being obsessed with Lestat and Lestat not caring. Like I literally remember a scene where Lestat is thinking about how he feels like he never really experienced desire until he met Armand. But then he DID abandon Armand, and the show makes it seem like Armand was just being over dramatic about a situationship breakup. Shit was complicated!

Its weird bc the show has Lestat fully hating Armand to a bigger extent than was expressed in the books, but they also gloss over or write out some of the more fucked up stuff that happened between them (e.g. Armand lowkey psychologically torturing Nicki and then cutting off his hands) so it makes even less sense

Woke up and thought and now I’m liking s2e6 less. It’s so weird bc the first 2 seasons felt like they were made by people who genuinely loved and understood the book and this season feels like it’s written by people who skimmed the cliff notes and decided they didn’t like it.
