Became a lil obsessed with a family of screech owls that started hanging out at nights. Finally had a use for all my scrap pine that wasn't long enough for shelving. Part of my nightly ritual lately has been sitting out there listening to them catch bugs.

As someone who was alive when Bob Ross (and William Alexander before him — that’s where the approach is from) was on PBS, I can 100% testify that you can paint along with him.

You may need to learn how to set up your paints and such… but this is what people did, live, while the show aired. That’s what the show was for. I had family members create lovely works of art they enjoyed, which I still have on my walls, because William Alexander and Bob Ross both said:

SCREW METICULOUS CLASSICAL ART PRACTICES — JUST GRAB A PALETTE KNIFE AND BIG OLD BRUSH AND PAINT!

They freed a whole generation of people who were taught to paint detail and realism and exact representation of reality — people who largely gave up this kind of thing because it got tedious.

I watched the joy of family members as they rediscovered art as a messy fun spontaneous half hour activity.

My burnout kinda feels like it largely stems from the fact I don't have anyone to share my hobbies, interests, or passions with anymore.

Gonna do a test patch on a different mold to make sure I mix & measure the resin before going whole hog and waste like 32sqft of stuff. Making it a 3 part shell to demold easier. But casting single piece Emil heads might finally be in my future!

And free my own Emil from the silicone jacket after like, what 2 years? Lol

She now has a series of different stands at different heights for different poses. I think I'm gonna need a vessel to store literally all the crap I keep making this puppet. Like a demented toy chest play set or something.

Legit mad at the fact that brass knuckles are such a naughty object to own in my state. I just wanna make the most legit Grunkle Stan cosplay to grace the internet. Just all in, legit, unhinged Grunkle Stan.

But if I can't make or own dual brass knuckles....are we really a free country? What are the doing?

The cobra hood got some reworking & upgrading. Took off like 30% of the jute to make it less insulating and leaned towards a spring/summer/early autumn tone. I need more netting & leaves to start the pants.

The Honkai Star Rail folding fan WIP. Needs a lot of hand touch ups but its coming along! Tried for a subtle duotone with reds like the reference. Need to ad the little brass pins for details.

That Honkai Star Rail folding fan WIP. Now I can start making the outer housing for it outta wood & pvc. Printed the fabric via Spoonflower on cotton poplin, with kydex strips for the spine thingies.
