I hear there's an artist who has done Elucien artwork in the past that very recently "came out" as pro-MAGA. Let's chat about it.
Anyone who has commissioned art from an artist should know that personal information between the artist and commissioner is very rarely discussed. I've had multiple commissions from people who don't even feel comfortable using their real name for invoices. I have personally completed artwork for publishers and been hesitant in agreeing to put my public name in the book for credit. I feel like this should be pretty common sense, but apparently it needs to be said:
No commissioner should feel they need to take responsibility for an artist's personal beliefs unless that artist is very public about them.
If an artist comes forward with problematic views, you can assume that previous customers/commissioners of that artist were unaware of those views.
And finally: You don't have moral high ground over someone who unknowingly employed an artist when that artist has the same problematic views as people you regularly interact with.
That being said, here are my views as an artist:

Fuck MAGA
Fuck the Heritage Foundation
Fuck Donald Trump
And FUCK everyone who continues to vote for this shit.
If any of these beliefs offends you and you don't want to commission me for art, GOOD. I don't need or want business from you.

Or: why Elain is such a wretch to her mate. ~500 words
The mating bond felt so much like love. That was the worst part of it all. For unlike her sisters, she was overly, unfairly, and entirely familiar with love. It resurged in waves through the tether of her golden bond, crashing against the cliffs of her heart every time he was near.
But she did not know him.
And if she did not know him—yet she felt this terrible, inconceivable way for him—she could not fathom the damage he could inflict upon her.
Grayson had nearly devastated her; his abrupt rejection had splintered the world into gnarled, piercing fragments with edges meant to bleed her dry. Heartbreak did not suit Elain, not when she had given the entire organ away in the first place, leaving her with absolutely nothing after he left.
If he, who wielded no magic in his humanly callused hands, possessed no ancient nor divine device within him, tying them irrefutably and eternally together, could wreck her fate—despite her inherited ability to foresee her fortune—then what could he do?
With magic and fate and destiny on his side, Lucien could be the end of her.
This very fact terrified Elain.
The fear multiplied every single time he stepped within her presence. For he was clever and smart, that much she had perceived of him from even the early days. (For what is love, but to know? To see to the very core.) Her attention and curiosity snapped like a notched arrow whenever he landed in Velaris, and it arced through the air whenever he entered the townhouse. Then that arrow would split into two when she felt him—the muddled, overwhelming emotions of shame and grief, grief and shame, festering at the sight of her. If he flooded the bond like the sea, she wondered if she made his end of the tether ache like an infected wound.
She knew she would only ever end up disappointing him.
Elain learned to hide her flinches. She learned that hate lives too closely to love—they slip their fingers together too often. She had seen it with her sisters and their mates. Hate simply would not do. Hate worshipped at the same altar of obsession and passion—a place Elain did not allow herself to enter.
Indifference would only do. Only indifference would keep him away.
Bright, glimmering Elain stifled the light inside. She filled herself with shadows, casting away the radiance that had once brought her happiness. Brought others happiness. She became an unrecognizable version of herself. A recluse. An unfeeling, unbreakable creature. A wretch.
Then he could not love her, for he could never know her.
And she could never have her mangled, fragile heart ruined again.
Even if she longed to speak his name, to invite him to dance, to speak and run her fingers along his clever mind, and above all else, to bestow a graceful smile upon his arrival, if only just once—to see, to see if he would return the same light.
To see if per chance, she had been wrong about it all.
For the second time on here….Azriel wasn’t screaming for Elain because of a mating bond. He was screaming because Hybern was doing what he threatened to do when they got caught and moved to the throne room. Pushing the BLOODbane deep into his vains causing him pain(cause it’s a poison that kills), which caused him to scream, which stopped Feyre and Rhys from struggling with the guards. See? Context and comprehension of said context matters.
And what the fuck is wolfsbane?! ACOTAR has never heard of it.

Jealousy
My very first fic ever written in English!
Posting it on Tumblr was a real challenge, and it took a lot of courage to put myself out there.
Now, when I reread it, I can see the flaws, things I would develop differently or change, but I will always treasure this fic. I truly agonised over it, and it represents a huge personal step for me.
Intentionally
I love Regency settings, and this fic very much lives in the he fell first, but she fell harder trope.
It’s still unfinished, but it will include a scene in the rain between Elain, Lucien… and a white, very wet shirt.

This was a real challenge, because I wanted something soft, intimate, and sexy rather than overtly graphic—and I’m incredibly proud of how it turned out.
Incandescence
The idea came to me in a dream, and I started writing it even before the Elucien week was announced. Only the first chapter is posted so far, but I absolutely love the concept: Elain doing the chasing, while being judged on her efforts by Eris, Helion, and the former Lady of Autumn.
This fic brought me so much laughter—it genuinely makes me smile every time I think about it.

This one was particularly difficult: I don’t read much horror (I don’t like being scared), and we know almost nothing about the Middle. Balancing tension, horror, survival, love, and moments of levity was a real challenge—but also an incredibly rewarding experience.
I would absolutely love to explore this genre again this year.
Writing fanfiction in English—when French is my native language—has really highlighted how hard it can be to find the right word, the right rhythm, the right turn of phrase.

I have a lot of favorite romantic scenes : in Pride and Prejudice (2005), the hand scene between Darcy and Elizabeth, and the end when they find each other in the field, and the sun is rising... Awww
Also, in Northanger Abbey when Henry Tilney brings Catherine to his father's estate, they are joking about the place being haunted, and Catherine gives as good as she gets. Also the scene in the stables after they got caught under the rain.

But I also adore the love confession's scene in Bridgerton between the king and Charlotte, where she pushes and pushes and he just let it out.

Well, you’re talking to a history major here, so choosing is not easy! If we stick to Europe (let’s limit ourselves a bit), I absolutely love the 19th century — whether it’s the early years, the Regency era, or the reign of Queen Victoria. It’s such a structured period, full of rules and conventions. I can totally picture Elain as a rule-follower with a wild heart, and Lucien as a wild card with the heart of a gentleman!
I’m also fascinated by the late medieval period, Ancient Rome (especially the early Empire), Ancient Greece, Ancient Egypt, and the fall of the Roman Empire... honestly, I could go on forever! The only time period where I don’t really envision Elucien is the 20th century or anything modern.
As for movies and TV shows — I love them all! The only thing that truly bothers me is seeing a poorly fitted corset hurting the actress — that’s my one pet peeve! Otherwise, I’m all in.

This piece is meant to be an ode to a popular fan theory for their book. While Lucien is already stationed once more in the Spring Court, Elain has been likened to this place on multiple occasions and it would be so fitting to see her find herself there, one way or another. One night, after one too many glasses of faerie wine, they find themselves beneath the rising sun; two reluctant mates circling each other in the soft light of morning. There is nothing but the cracked tile of the past and the new growth of the future under their dancing feet. And truly, a stolen kiss, or two, has never set the world on fire in any way it did not need.

Yes, I am definitely an Elucien fan and would love to receive a fic!
My favorite tropes about them: forced proximity, reluctant mates, one bed (but not when it leads to smut — I prefer more comfort). Honestly, almost every trope you can find in arranged marriage, I’m up for it! I also want to see Elain be spontaneous. We know Lucien has a temper, but I love to see Elain’s sassy side — the one that can give as good as she takes.
I love reading Elucien outside of the Night or Spring Courts, or the Human Lands. The Day Court is always a favorite, but I’d be curious to see Elain anywhere in Prythian or even on the Continent. Maybe Lucien knows the places, maybe he doesn’t.
Canon compliant or AU, I don’t mind, but I’m not a fan of Modern settings.
I don’t mind explicit content, but I would still love plenty of banter and fluff. A little bit of angst is fine too, but please, not too much — my heart can’t take it.
