Aiden easily melts into the other’s touch with a slight smile, “I’ll take your word for you it. I don’t actually believe you, of course because of who my parents are and how they act.” He reasons which is true, they are all social people but in the worst way, in which ever single event is interrogation or network event or in this case both; but Cole is smiling nevertheless and Aiden is glad he is. “You think so? Like they’ll like me and alll,” He asks, looking up too enthusiastically. The young man, realizes what part of him that is coming and almost cringes at his own words, working to correct himself. “I’m kind of really kind of excited to be meet them. I’ve got a lot of questions to ask, I want to hear all about wee little Cole,” he teases him. There is apart of him that is excited to meet is family, hoping to meet Cole’s sister and listen to them chat it up. It occurs to him that he is missing a big part of Cole’s life and he knows he could just ask He wants to make it work, and make them like them.
He carefully runs his hand down Cole’s shoulder, and a feeling of fondness strikes through Aiden’ body. “Ah, yes. We are family now. I don’t have much to offer besides super expensive birthday presents and the occasional baked goods,” he says gently, “I wasn’t worried about you impressing them. You are pretty impressive guy. I mean, I am dating a genius. The worry lies with them overstepping, which they did but… all is well.” The young man places a kiss on Cole’s cheek, “So you think I look good in a suit huh?” he teases him.
"Please,” Cole says squeezing his arms tighter around Aiden’s waist, “I think if a blind person was to meet all of us they’d think my family was yours and yours was mine. My parents are bubbly and nice like you, and yours are overly ambitious with a tendency to be a bit cruel like me.” Cole smiles and says, “But they really will love you. Ugh, yes, my mother will be at the ready to show you so many scrapbooks, and tell you so many stories. As a behavioral psychologist particularly in adolesecents, she kept quite the catalog on all of us, to an embarrassing degree. So lucky you.”
Cole smiles and says, “You offer a lot more than that. Besides you and me can be our own little family unit with our own combined traditions, besides I like the baked goods and I can definitely get on board with being bought expensive birthday gifts, and I’ll always make sure to show up for your art shows and any of the other social gatherings you want to go to, and if anyone ever annoys you or pisses you off I can hack them and put a virus on their computer. See combined traditions,” Cole shrugs.
He runs his hands along Aiden’s back and says, “It’s okay, I’m used to people overstepping. I mean I have pretty narrow boundaries, so people constantly cross them so I’m kind of used to it at this point. But this was for you and as far as I can tell thus far when you’re involved my boundaries seem to be pretty much limitless,” he smiles slightly. Cole moves closer when Aiden kisses his cheek and moves his mouth by Aiden’s ear. “I really do, I think you’d look really good out of it too, but that goes without saying,” Cole grins gently squeezing Aiden’s hip and kissing along his neck whilst holding him close.
