ALEIXO CERVA was blasting ' immortals ' by fall out boy through their airpods . it’s insane how similar they look to rafael silva . according to other residents , the TWENTY-SEVEN year old has been given a reputation of being RETICENT , but also COMPASSIONATE . aleixo's biggest vice is ICE CREAM . you'll be seeing a lot of them around boston ! BACKSTORY
— born in salvador, brazil, but partially raised in medellín, columbia when opportunities for his surgeon father prompted them to move. as a result, aleixo’s first languages are portuguese and spanish, with fluency in english as a third language. they moved to san antonia, texas when aleixo was eleven.
— despite moving frequently through his early years, aleixo had a good and comfortable life. he was closer with his mother as a result of his father’s long hours at hospitals, learning how to cook from her and inheriting her great love of animals as well. from his father, he got his tenacity and desire to help others.
— a chance friendship in grade school lead to a love of large animals, not just stables but the cows and sheep and other livestocks of the ranches all around. he knew pretty early on what he wanted to do : become a veterinarian, and with time he knew his focus would be large animals.
— he ended up in the pre-vet program at umass-amherst for undergrad and finished his vet schooling at tuffs in boston. he graduated a little over a year ago, and is currently completing his residency with a large animal vet clinic.
HEADCANONS
— volunteers at an animal rescue shelter in his spare time. even though it’s not his specialty, there’s plenty he can do and they always need helping hands !!
— has a six year old rescue dog named mica : a medium sized dog with a bunch of unidentified mixed breeds. they couldn’t be a happier pair, mica is loyal to a fault to aleixo. he adopted mica as an adolescent dog when aleixo was just starting out vet school
— has an overall positive relationship with his parents, especially his mother. they expect a lot of him, but so far he’s been living up to expectations. he’s lucky perhaps that what he wanted to do is reputable enough.
— likes to cook, especially native brazilian and columbian fair he’s learned from his mother and grandmothers. loves to share culinary experiences, especially across cultures. definitely thinks food is the greatest thing to share.
— an avid runner and outdoorsman. another reason he got himself a dog. hits the gym semi-regularly but at very odd hours to fit it around his schedule. it’s not really a vanity thing, more of a practical necessity due to the large animals he works with. and maybe a little big a vanity thing.
— that being said, dresses extremely practically. he won’t buy anything that isn’t well-made and often keeps clothes until they completely wear out. plenty of neutrals. plenty of muted colors. never any jewelry.
— stands at 6′ flat.
— vice is ice cream bc it’s just too damn tasty. his favorite flavor is anything with peanut butter. he really does try to keep a healthy lifestyle, and is he’s angry he’s prone to going out for a run.

PERSONALITY
— not one to overly share about himself though he’s certainly friendly enough. aleixo prefers to listen sometimes giving him a bit of a reputation of being a bit quiet & reticent.
— he certainly isn’t afraid to put himself out there though and isn’t one to turn away from conflict or trouble. he knows how to stand his ground and it’s afraid to do so.
— deeply compassionate, sometimes to a fault. he can be manipulated a bit easily, though he’s trying to learn to be a bit more discerning sometimes.
— his compassion also makes him surprisingly great with people which many don’t expect with how reticent he is, but aleixo always seems to know exactly what to say. all that being said, he does enjoy the company of animals a great bit.
— the person who will smile at strangers, start a pay it forward line, and rush to help someone gather up something dropped.
WANTED CONNECTIONS
— the neighbor : someone who lives next door to his apartment or just down the hall. i imagine it’s a pretty small and not that fancy building.
