She just turned nine a few weeks ago.
“Apparently Karolin got used to us sleeping in the same room at our grandparents, because now she’s made herself a little bed in my floor and I’m pretty sure she’s moving herself into my room.”

“I’m not drunk. I just… had a very small amount of alcohol infused with wolfsbane. Still.. not drunk.”
“I am… umm maybe a little. Yeah.”
Aleksi laughed softly, “I mean, I guess I can’t exactly blame you, with everything that’s been going on.”
possessionspuppet:
“We aren’t ready for this.”

mysticalanthropology:
“Why does everyone seem so tense?” The human asked with a frown. Clayton didn’t know about the supernatural elements around Beacon Hills, but he does know that something is effecting the people.
Aleksi shrugged a little, “I think people are always tense here.” he said carefully, hoping he hadn’t missed anything else major when he was out of town.
bearyourdemons:
“From what I heard, everyone’s fine.” he smiled. “You did it kid.” he said, patting him on the back a bit. Titan looked at him. “You need anything? Water or something to eat?”
“I can’t believe it actually worked. I was so afraid it wouldn’t.” he admitted with a small sigh. “Um, water, actually, water might be good. Thanks.”
darekhale-bhc:
Derek nodded. “I’m fine. I don’t know about everyone else, but the portal is definitely closed. You’ve been out for about five minutes, but you did good, Alek, I’m proud of you,” he said genuinely.
Aleksi let out a small sigh of relief at the words and nodded, “Good, good. It just better stay closed. I need a break ... we all need a break.” he said.
darachjennifer:
“Yes,” she chuckled slightly at his reaction, “Yes, everyone’s fine.” she told him, “You see? It a balance. And it always rights itself in the end.” She was sceptical of it lasting but didn’t want to ruin the moment, “Well stop all your worrying. She’s safe, you’re safe and just in time for exams to start.” she added wryly.
“If we could just stay balanced, with nothing trying to end the world for a while, that’d be great.” he commented before giving a small smile, “I’m really glad. I mean, exams kind of seem like nothing compared to what just happened, but I’m glad we can talk them without someone trying to kill us. And I’m glad Karolin can ... just be a little girl again. She starts trying to take care of me when things get bad like that.”
Shattered Sight
frederic-fisher:
He didn’t roll his eyes, despite temptation, no he was beginning to think simply staring was far more effective. He didn’t want to hear apologies, they meant nothing. The only sounds he wanted to hear were their insane screams after he’d driven them to madness, hell, maybe then the ‘sorry’s’ would have a little more impact. Though he’d to get to that point first to see. “Yea? Well you were too slow. Too slow, too late. Too little. I really don’t care what you did, it’s what you didn’t do that matters.”
“You didn’t clean up your mess. You didn’t stop them fast enough. You simply, didn’t.” he told the other, “I don’t care about your beast, that’s just once more problem you people caused. You’re blaming a problem you caused for creating another problem you caused, can you not see the flaw in the logic here?” he asked, shaking his head, time for Kate’s lesson. “No, you’re not stupid. So you’ll know, wolves can’t shield, neither can chimera’s, or banshee’s. I can take my pick of many targets and I will. Unless you do what I tell you to.” the threat was quite, everything he’d done was quiet.
“I’m sorry, I tried so hard. We tried. We did ... we did everything we could to protect them.” he said sincerely. “We didn’t cause the Beast, that wasn’t us. Someone else brought that here, we were just trying to get it out!” he exclaimed, “Okay, this town it ... it draws in the supernatural. People, and, and things, they just come here ... and a lot of them aren’t very good.” he attempted to explain.
He closed his eyes tightly at the threat. He couldn’t allow anyone else to be hurt. He couldn’t just sit by and let that happen. He was not going to sacrifice his friends to save himself. He just hoped that this couldn’t mean he’d never be able to see them again. He hoped that the others would take care of Stiles and Karolin if it did. “Okay.” he said, tears in his eyes as he dropped the shield, “Just, just please don’t hurt the others.”
possessionspuppet:
Stiles looked up from his book, smiling. “Hey Leks, how are you feeling? You scared me to death.” He closed the book and reached to touch Aleksi’s head.
Aleksi smiled softly, relaxing as he saw his cousin next to him. “I’m okay.” he said, “Just ... just really tired. Is everyone else okay? Are you okay? Did it really work?”
alphaofsass:
Peter had made sure the unconscious teen was safe, bringing him to the loft and letting him rest in one of the guest rooms. He checked in him quite often, on account a certain druid would kill him if Aleksi was hurt. Peter didn’t fear Stiles, but the boy was a friend in the recent darkness that Peter didn’t want to lose. He had just finished checking on Aleksi and was headed out when he woke. He turned towards him and gave a soft smile. “It worked. Everyone is fine.” He said, moving to sit on the edge of the bed. “You need rest, though.”
Aleksi collapsed back down on the bed when Peter said that everyone was alright. He had to admit that he was kind of glad to have been take to Peter’s place. If there was anywhere that felt remotely safe anymore, it was around an Alpha wolf. “I’m exhausted.” he admitted softly, “But I’m so glad that worked. I was ... I was really afraid it wasn’t going to.”
bridgetforman:
“I guess that makes sense.” Bridget replied, sending him a soft smile. It was clear to the nogitsune that the boy was quite weak at the moment. He was also alone, which would make him incredibly easy to take out. Although, it was a little early for that. The nogitsune knew that this boy may be useful if he was allowed to live. “Do you want for me to help you look for them? I don’t mind really.”
Aleksi bit his lip slightly, “Um, I guess that couldn’t hurt really. They can’t be all that far.” he said with a small smile. He couldn’t help but be wary of the girl after all that had just happened.
bridgetforman:
“Well, I am sorry to hear that. What were you doing sleeping here?” Bridget replied, feeling that it was an odd place to sleep. The nogitsune part of her was glad that people were being careless, because it would make things a lot easier. She sent the boy a soft smile, trying to appear to be as friendly as possible. “I haven’t seen anyone. Perhaps they all went home or something. It’s a little rude that they left you here though.”
Aleksi bit his lip softly and shrugged, “Well, um we were ... talking, and I haven’t been sleeping all that well, I guess I just fell asleep. I didn’t mean to.” he said carefully. Sometimes it was hard to figure out exactly what to say to the humans in Beacon Hills. They had to know things were weird, but he didn’t want to be responsible for them figuring it out. “Maybe they just ... decided to let me sleep for a while. I’m sure they’re not far.”
darachjennifer:
Jennifer looked over the top of her magazine when Aleksi came too, she smiled and folded it away before heading over, “The light shone through, it worked, they’re gone.” she answered simply, “Something of a relief hmm?” she asked with a chuckle, “I’d wager you have a little sister who’ll be chomping at the bit to see you.” she told him, “And now you two of you have nothing to worry about.”
Aleksi collapse back against his pillows at her words, “And everyone’s okay?” he asked, just to be sure, though he thought she wouldn’t be so happy if they weren’t. “I’m so glad she’s safe now. I was ... I was so scared something was going to happen to her.” he admitted.
darekhale-bhc:
Derek knelt over him, shaking him. “Alek? Alek, you there?” When he saw that he woke up, Derek lifted his hand. Derek smiled and nodded. “Yeah, you did it. You stopped them.” He still had blood, both his and the Ghost Riders’, caked on his body in patches. “How do you feel?”
Aleksi leaned back to the ground in relief when Derek said that it was really over. “Tired.” he said softly, “Really tired. I want to go home and see Karolin and ... sleep for a week, maybe.” he added after a moment, “Are you okay? Is everyone else okay?”
Shattered Sight
frederic-fisher:
He shook his head slightly, “I’m afraid that isn’t going to cut it. You see, what I’ve felt. What I’m feeling?” he paused for a moment, going tight-lipped, he would not lose it in front of the enemy, don’t let them see weakness, he’d been told. Take all the anger, the pain and the suffering and use it for power. That was exactly what he’d do. “It’s worse than dying.” he finished, unclenching his free fist and using it to push his long hair back, “And, as people so love to say when they talk about the law. Let the punishment, fit the crime.”
“You didn’t.” he said, voice finally growing a little calmer, the steel beneath the words keeping it steady, “But you may as well have taken a gun, put it to the head of my mother, father and baby brother and pulled the trigger, bang, bang, bang.” he whispered each bang and took another step forward, reaching the shields edge. “So all these things you’re saying? You don’t even comprehend how inadequate they sound. How little they mean. The only thing that you and your friends can do that will even begin to let me heal is to pay. And to suffer. And to do that. You need this shield down.” he stared at him, “Or I’ll have to do something, to make you.”
Aleksi bit his lip hard enough to draw blood, torn between fear and incredible guilt that Fred’s family had been killed. “I’m sorry.” he said sincerely, “If I could have done anything, anything to stop it, I would have. We’ve been trying to get rid of them since the day they showed up, we tried everything.” he said, desperate to make the other boy understand. “I ... I trained and I researched day and night, I barely slept. I ... as soon as I figured it out, we stopped them.” he said.
He sucked in a deep breath, “I know, I know it doesn’t bring them back but we tried. I tried. We didn’t ask the Fae to come, we never meant to make that possible. We only wanted to stop the Beast, it was killing people too. We fought them the whole time. We didn’t, we didn’t kill your family. The Fae did. I just ... I’m sorry we couldn’t have stopped them before.” he continued before shaking his head, “I’m not dropping my shield, I’m not that stupid.”
Shattered Sight
frederic-fisher:
Frederick eyes, which had once again lowered to the pendant between his fingers, glanced back up at Aleksi, they were clear and sharp. He mourned yes, but he struggled through the fog of his grief do to this. Vlad had told him concentration was needed, and Kate and that fox had given him a few creative ideas on dealing with the others little shield that he hid behind. “Yes.” he whispered, “Yes you should be sorry. Very sorry.” he paused, “After all, you’re the reason they came here. You and your friends. You are the reason my baby brother was ripped apart in the street for just being in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
The hand not on the pendent was clenched into a fist the knuckles white. “You, and them, destroyed my life.” he said slowly, the faintest wobble to his voice, “What I mean. Is that you took everything from me. I did nothing wrong. I am entitled to my revenge, on all of you.” He took a step forward, just a small one, “I am going to shatter you all, from the inside out.” he paused once more, “Was that clear enough for you?”
Aleksi closed his eyes tightly at the words, “That was never supposed to happen. They were never supposed to be here ... they got through because of us, I know, but only because we were trying to stop something else that was killing people. We never meant to let them in, we were only trying to protect the town. We spent the whole time trying to stop them, I promise.” he said sincerely. He hated that there never seemed to be an end here, one bad thing always just led to another bad thing. The good guys never actually won.
“We didn’t kill your family, we were trying to save them, we were trying to save everyone, I promise.” he said, backing up instinctively. Even with his shield, intimidation tactics like that sent his mind straight back to his kidnapping. “We stopped them, okay. Just a few days ago, we stopped them. We’re on the same side here. We took ... a lot of damage too. We got lucky that nobody was killed, really lucky, but we came very close. We never wanted anybody else to get hurt. We did our best to keep them away from the humans. I’m sorry.” he said, realizing he was taking on a begging tone even though he didn’t know what the other was trying to do.
