Note to Self
I’d like that… How much?
I have about five right now so 1 gold is fine by me for them.
"Healing Prostitutes…. I like that. I’m gonna use that… Hopefully I can get some better armor or something, I should really start working on some secondary skills. I’m thinking I’ll do tailoring and artificering… Can I enchant clothing? Maybe I’ll do alchemy and herbalism…"
"I know Artificer makes magical weapons, mostly staves and can enchant them. I don't know if that extends to armor as I didn't level it up completely during Beta. Tailoring does allow you to create magical armor so you should be good at least having tailoring if you want better armor."

Who You Gonna Call... || Alerion&Thennil
There was a moment in between listening to her friend and being smushed into a hug in which Thennil had the hugest urge to face paml. She nearly did it too, but the hug, and it’s giver, thwarted her. Still, even with the sudden hug, the elf couldn’t help but start laughing at the whole situation. It totally wasn’t like they were just fighting for their lives a minute ago. Definitely not. It took her a moment to return the hug due to the suddenness of it, but she couldn’t help but enjoy it, surprisingly.
Thennil was so close to breaking down in laughter at her Alerion’s proclamation. She too felt invigorated, but definitely not as much as them. “Though I do love that idea, I’m pretty sure there’s going to be a long line for that.” Thennil said. “How about instead of waiting around to do that, we go for celebration drinks?” Despite the lack of actual taste in the drinks she’s had so far, she wouldn’t mind suffering through them for celebration, especially if it was a celebration with the mage standing across from her.
Alerion nodded in agreement watching the white screen pop up in front of them with a few rat tails for loot. "True, it'll make it easier to find people for front lines though." They hoped so at least. The knowledge that there would be a healer might put their minds at ease when the time came. Walking back up the steps they turned in the quest with the reward of a little extra gold and some food they definitely needed.
"I'd love to go for drinks, maybe not in this village if you know what I mean. We've definitely earned it, Nil'." They spoke turning to face the elf. Lips curled into a smirk and they gave the elf a wink, hands falling to rest on their hips. "Lets see if we can get your conversation skills even higher."
Who You Gonna Call... || Alerion&Thennil
Thennil’s only reply to that was a loud laugh as she continued annihilating the rats. During the fight, she began to depend upon her partner as health barely dipped below half during the whole thing. It felt nice to know someone had her back in a situation like this. It didn’t take long before she too was breathing hard from all the effort of killing a seemingly endless horde of giant rats. Something she never thought she’d do.
By the time Alerion called out to her, the number of rats looked to be in the low teens. She used a SWING on a nearby grouping of rats and had to actually look for more. She could see some coming for her but even with her slowed reactions, they weren’t quite fast enough to do much damage or avoid her CHARGE. Hoping she wasn’t about to turn her back on any monsters, as she hadn’t seen any left, the soldier gave the mage a tired smile. “Couldn’t these people have just called an exterminator?”
"Who you gonna call..." Alerion began humming the theme while smacking a lone rat away with her staff to join its brethren. For being stuck in a death game, and not just a day before breaking down at the thought of being alone in their dorm with no one who would care about them, Alerion felt lighter than they had been. This was what they strive in their life to experience, a fully immersive game that was challenging and people to enjoy it with. Firing off one more MAGIC MISSILE soon the entire basement was clear of rats and the like. "Rat Busters!" They lifted their arms up in excitement and glorious victory over disgusting plague bringers varmints.
Even bringing Thennil into a tight hug after it was all done. Scent of forest and leather invading their nostrils. One, two, three beats later Alerion jumped back embarrassed but with her smile still on her face. "Now I feel like I could take on the world. Maybe even pop the creator straight in the kisser." They laughed at the thought remembering the name that Thennil gave their meeting at the inn.
Who You Gonna Call... || Alerion&Thennil
"Not here, no." Thennil agreed, feeling her smirk becoming more realistic than the forced one. She whipped around and released the other’s hand, moving into a more comfortable fighting position. Unfortunately they were still stuck on the stairs, but she knew sooner or later, they’d be able to move off of it. "Would you rather be the one to have my back? I hear it’s has a nice view." Thennil quite easily fell into her normal sassy fighting. It had become somewhat of a coping mechanism to joke and josh during battle, this one was no different.
Using CHARGE the soldier was able to knock back one of the overlarge rats that had been sneaking too close to her. It and one of it’s friends died soon after with another well placed swing of her sword. “Don’t jinx us.” She warned at Alerion’s comment. Too many times had bad things happened to her, in real life and in the game, because of a comment like that. “I’d say there can’t be many more than thirty or forty if the creator of this quest was feeling generous. But when would that ever happen in a death game like this?”
"I highly agree! There is a reason I love female armors in video games." They spoke with barely held back excitement. Alerion moved to solid ground off the stairs when Thennil charged a rat. One came at them too quickly for even their fast cast speed and they whacked it hard with their staff, finishing it off with a MAGIC MISSILE. Slowly, but surely the number of rats dwindled as the two of them attacked though Alerion switched over to purely healing Thennil once most of the rats went after her. Breathing heavily they tried to provide support by stunning another rat however it failed. They glanced at their health and mana bar noticing they were too low on mana to cast another spell. Crap, good thing I stocked up. "Low on mana! Grabbing a potion." Alerion called to Thennil so the elf would be careful until they were able to chug the potion.
It tasted horrible and Alerion gagged a little, coughing a bit yet happy as the blue bar went back to almost full. With renewed vigor Alerion set off a STONE along with a MAGIC MISSILE at two different targets, killing one of them. Tapping her fingers together she waited another moment sending a CURE at Thennil once more to keep the Elf from falling in battle.
Who You Gonna Call... || Alerion&Thennil
Thennil turned around alarmed at the sudden thumping coming from the stairs behind her to find Alerion had skidded down a few steps. While Thennil was pleased to see they weren’t hurt, she was also kind of glad she wasn’t hit by her partner. While it probably would’ve been funny later, right now it could be a danger. So, all in all, she settled for giving Alerion an amused smirk before turning back onto her previous path. A path now filled with monsters.
Recognizing the danger now presented to them, Thennil drew her sword in time to block the one of the rats that had been aiming for her. She noticed another rat fall from a spell and allowed herself a moment of relief. The elf used SWING hoping to momentarily stun any other attackers before idiotically turning her back on them and grabbing hold of Alerion to haul them up into a less prone position. “Have a nice fall?” She asked, smirk firmly planted on her face to keep any fear from showing. “Next time, you should spring back up a little quicker.”
"Duly noted, it seems my very sit on my butt heavy lifestyle won't of of any help here." Alerion quickly righted themself thanks to Thennil being strong enough to practically pick them up. They whipped out their hand casting MAGIC MISSLE at the rat pouncing at Thennil's exposed back. "And it might not be a wise idea to give the enemy your back, even if it's because you were helping me." A smile was permanently on their face. The rat they hit with their spell died bursting into particles of light with more filling the spot it had been. So the beasts were weak health wise, but used their numbers to overwhelm their targets. Like the butterflies and Alerion hated butterflies.
Hand gripped their staff two fingers of their other hand rested on their lips. After a few moments light gathered on the tips of their fingers and she pointed them at Thennil, casting CURE even if the elf didn't really need a cure just yet. It always helped to be a little early on heals. "How many do you think there are? I am hoping not hundreds maybe a nice low fifteen, that would be nice."
Who You Gonna Call... || Alerion&Thennil
As the NPC droned on with the information about their quest, Thennil was moving through her menu, making sure to re-equip what she needed. Though her mind was trying to figure out whether she needed a certain piece of equip for this quest, the elf made sure she listened to the NPC too. The quest issued didn’t seem too hard, but the rats were a level or two over her own. Plus, this place looked pretty big to have a small infestation as the NPC claimed. That extra piece of armor seemed to be needed, if only for security purposes.
Closing out of her menu, Thennil focused on the new task at hand. “Sounds like a plan.” She agreed, having used such a tactic once or twice already. Magic was definitely coming in handy during her stay here. It had saved her ass once or twice and she knew it might save her ass many more times before she was through with Death Incarnate. Having finally geared up, Thennil took the lead and headed towards the cellar, only looking back to check on her partner. “Let’s do this.” Was the last thing she said before opening the cellar and stepping inside, ready for their fight.
Nodding Alerion followed gleefully after Thennil. The soldier armor looked surprisingly less bulky than they thought it would be, a casual thought that came to their head as they walked down the wooden steps. Alerion actually enjoyed the sometimes hugging armors the other classes wore especially if the person wearing it had curves for it. Missing a step during their not family friendly thought on mmo armors Alerion slid down the next couple of steps only stopping when their hand grabbed the railing. "Well that was a wild trip." Alerion jokingly said snickering at their own pun.
The snickering was short lived as a noise akin to a sputtering car filled their ears. Darkness rose from the basement with only few candles battling the shadows. Yet they didn't need the light to see little specks of yellow and red glinting at them from below. Rats of unusual size, yeah Alerion called that one noticing that the rats were the size of at least a cat. A couple of them shrieked lunging at the two adventurers with hungry eyes. Fear crept into her throat tightening it and freezing them in their prone position. Their eyes closed momentarily hand shooting out to cast STONE at the rat, stunning it midair.
Who You Gonna Call... || Alerion&Thennil
It seemed that grumbling over stupid monsters was now a solid pastime for Thennil now. In a game where she was constantly surrounded by them, of course she’d develop a habit to vent frustrations. Unfortunately for her though, this habit made her seem crazy, something she’d rather not be. So for the most part, she kept her grumbling to herself. Cursing however, she let loose whenever she felt the need to. And right now she was feeling the serious need to curse. On her trip to the meeting place she had with Alerion, she had three run ins with monsters, one of those with the stupid squirrels she despises. Not fun.
Thankfully, she got to the city she was supposed to with minimal injuries, yet now had a depleted potions supply. It wouldn’t impact her in the coming quest but it meant she’d have to make another trip to a merchant after they completed this quest. Catching sight of her questing partner, a smile replaced the frown that had been adorning Thennil’s face. She gladly returned the wave and strode up to the other player. “A little too long. But yes, I’m ready. You?” She replied, accepting the party request easily. Her gaze flickered to the new info that popped up into her vision indicating Alerion’s alliance with her. The elf had yet to get used to small things like that.
"Ready as ever." At least they hoped they were. Alerion walked with Thennil towards the quest giver's house opening their inventory while they did so. The durability of her wand was about to hit 0 they'd have to be careful not to use it too much. They were only fighting giant rats, how hard could it be? Not like they were butterflies or squirrels. Equipping the wand Alerion almost jumped as it materialized on her belt. One of the many things in this game that would be difficult to get used to.
The quest giver's place wasn't all that small shockingly enough given that most of the buildings save for the church and inn were a third this size. They guessed this was why he couldn't deal with the problem himself. "We've heard that you have a bit of a infestation." They smiled at the NPC waiting for him to exhaust his conversation tree until the exclamation above his head turned into a question mark. His finger pointing them towards the cellar door on the side of the building. Blue eyes looked to Thennil this time becoming a bit more serious as they got ready to go inside. "I think for a plan it'll be a simple you hit and I heal. Easy Pesy."

"K…K? But yeah, I see what you mean…. Though I’m sure I can get someone to fork over some loot for my services… I swear I don’t sound like a prostitute normally."
"K.K., short for kamikaze. I give everyone on my friends list nicknames since it makes things sound cooler. Don't worry, I never give my services out for free either. We're like... very expensive healing prostitutes."
Personal things? Everything alright, Alerion?
Yes and no. Let's say I had a delayed reaction to being stuck in a video game that could kill me and at this moment I am in my dorm room, alone and will probably waste away before we even hit the first boss.
