Dear Manu, I haven’t grabbed a pen, sit my ass down and write a letter since I was like ten so you better appreciate that, even though, I don’t think I’ll ever send it to you since writing is not really my thing...or expressing myself and my feelings. I never had the perfect like and never wanted it. I was trouble since a very young age and maybe that is why no one really wanted me in their lives. I grew up by myself, well kind of, I only had one person by my side but at some point, he disappeared on me too. I don’t blame him though, he was going through his own hell. I’ve always been an outsider. Having no friends and spending time by myself was the ideal for me, it still is. I don’t like to be surrounded by people, I don’t trust them. I had friends in the past who backstabbed me, used me, tricked me. I am sick of it. Sick of that attitude. I don’t say I was an angel but definitely did not deserve that kind of treatment. When I care about someone I give them my everything, my one hundred percent but I’ve been used so many times before that now I don’t want anyone near me. Maybe that’s why I’m so scared of letting you in my life. I would lie if I’d say that I don’t trust you because I do and that is fucking terrifying, my past has proven me many times that trusting someone means being hurt and even though part of me knows that this won’t happen with you, there is this little voice that tries to warn me for the worst-case scenario. I caught myself multiple times thinking how in hell you got yourself into this? I know you are a taught one but oh, man, you don’t even want to know how much my life sucks and I don’t think you’ll want to be part of it... Secretly, I do hope you’ll want to be part of it though. I found safety with you. And it feels very nice. I like it. I like waking up next to you. Knowing that someone is there for me, even for a tiny moment, I’m okay with it. But oh, it’s so more complicated than you think it is. I don’t know how to act, what to say around you sometimes because I’m holding myself back, I admit it, I don’t want to get carried away. I don’t want to end up in a situation I’ve been before but at the same time...I can’t resist. I don’t know how things will end up between us but I hope you’ll understand... Alexandra.
