ro-clarkeâ:
Looking up from her book, Rose would smile in return. A closed mouth, and small curve to those lips as her foot absentmindedly moved through one of those aforementioned waves. Her shoulder raised in a sort of lopsided shrug, âI have bad habit of getting tunnel vision with these,â she would admit, indicating to the book in her hands, though those words could have applied to a great many things in the young womanâs life. Rose had always had an ability to focusânear obsess over a specific thing, an itemâa detailâa person. Her attention given so freely, and solely, that they could easily consume her. Especially books, the written word in a way her kryptonite.
âTo tell you the truth, I kind of forgot that I was even in the waterâŠ,â she teased herself, a self-conscious feeling taking root in her chest. Eyes cast to the book, as she would close it. Not fearing for the loss of her page, for that story was one she nearly knew by heart.
âI mean, depending on the situation that isnât a bad thing.â Alexandria replied, sending the woman a shrug. She knew that she could really benefit from tunnel vision sometimes, especially at work. Alix often found her mind wandering, and sheâd love the ability to be able to focus on just one thing. âBut I guess it could become a bad thing. I canât think of a time when it would be, but I am sure it exists.â She added, letting out a small hum as she continued to think about all the ways that it would be useful.
âReally? Wow, you really do have tunnel vision.â Alexandria added, pretty impressed that she had managed to forget about the water. Alix was the type of person that would be re-reading the same line over and over again because she would be too distracted by the sound of the waves and any other noises that happened around her. âI have to read in perfect silence myself.â
