Grad Assist

For Grad Assist I worked on “Populous” with Alex Lee and Ceaser. Two weeks ago I was given the opening shot of the movie to render. To try and render the background in a realistic I looked at the some pictures Alex sent and searching online for other references.

To render the background Alex told me that the time of the film was around 5.30am during spring time. I had to give the background the feeling of being a cold morning so I tried to use alot of hues of blue, and used some reds, oranges and purples to contrast the blues.

Final animatic I made for the 2 minute film. In this animatic I tried to incorporate some of the feedback I got on my lasts tutorials.

I made a copy of the animation of the character cutting the film tape and painted it with markers. I used this small scene to see the effects created byt painting inside and outside the lines and passing the marker on the same spot twice to create different tones.

I still have to had the character and the shadow of the character in the middle of the room. Wanted to try out giving the idea of tha day passing with the light from the window
