Reblog if you will never. Ever. Use AI in your writing.
Write if you can.
If you can't write: Edit.
If you can't edit: Outline.
If you can't outline: Brainstorm.
If you can't brainstorm: Rest.
Writing is many tasks. Do whichever ones you can handle and you'll still be making progress.
So excited to finally have a print copy of Pandora's Bread Box available to purchase. Keep in mind the mockup is not what the book will look like in real life. It's only 100 pages, after all.
If this book sounds interesting, you can purchase it at the link below:
I realized I never showed off the cover photos for First Flight. I'm so happy with how they turned out! Special thanks to GetCovers for how this turned out!
If this book sounds interesting at all, feel free to check it out at the link below: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FJ2ZXM6J
Iâm going to be completely honest with you guys. STOP trying to sell me things. I am not interested. At all. Nothing you say can change my mind. If you persist, you will be blocked. Canât believe it came to thisâŚ
I realized I should post a better view of the cover of Linked. I remember purchasing the cover off of Fiverr from an artist known as germancreative back in 2019, maybe 2020. I don't know if she's still creating covers, but she was a huge help.
I'm also eternally grateful to Rooted in Writing for helping me edit this book. I feel my style has greatly changed since first publishing this book, so it no longer truly feels like "me", but I couldn't have taken my first step in my publishing story without Amber Helt's care and craft.
One day, I'd like to work with them again. However, that requires money I simply don't have at this point in time. Oh, well. I can always hope for a bright future as an author.
I think one of the most important things an author can do is diversify the types of writing they create. Short stories, novellas, novels, fiction, nonfiction - anything and everything can provide inspiration for a great story, if the author merely takes the time to do their best.
I say all this to promote my Medium blog, which I hope to post more on. Click the link below and follow me on Medium if that's something that interests you.
Read writing from Alexis Kimble on Medium. A creative dreamer who loves video games, cats, and sitting down with a good book.
We all start somewhere. Linked: The War of the Gems was my first attempt at self-publishing. I spent more money on it than I dare admit, but I also feel like it's no longer my story anymore. I don't think it will ever get a sequel. However, I hope that one day the characters will find new life in a different story that feels more like me.
Linked: The War of the Gems - Book 1
Aoi Arisawa never expected much excitement when she moved from the bustling city of Tokyo to the rural town of Irokara. Things are quick to change when she discovers a magical blue gem that holds the spirit of Hua Mulan. Mulan tells Aoi she's destined to save the world and protect it. But how can a gentle crybaby like Aoi do anything to defend the world?
Linked: The War of the Gems is an anime-inspired coming of age story. My love of the Persona series at the time had a huge hand in helping me create this story.
I know I've tried this before. I chicken out every time. But now that I got to feel a new book that I wrote in my hands, I can't keep running from my fears. If I want to get my books out there, I need to promote myself. So here I am.
I'm Alexis Kimble, a 30-something writer who loves playing video games, watching anime, and curling up with my husband and cat. I write fantasy books, especially short reads (100 pages or less), often with a nice splash of romance.
My books are available on Kindle Unlimited for free. Most e-books (with the exception of one) are only 99 cents. I'm in the process of making print versions of all my books for anyone who enjoys that sort of thing.
If you want to check out my work. Click this link here. It'll take you to Amazon page.
Feel free to follow. This is a side blog, so I won't be able to follow back. But, if I enjoy your blog, I will follow back on my main blog.
Best wishes!
