It’s called contouring and it is both fascinating to look at and infuriating to emulate. Basically, the make up artist draws on shadows.

this is so cool, and if this is something you want to do/enjoy doing then GO YOU that is fabulous! Just remember these people are the same person in both photos, of equal beauty and value and worth. They don’t become more beautiful, or more fake, they just put some make up on, they are the same. Have realistic expectations of how people look without make up, experiment with however much or little you wish to find a look that you like for you, allow others to do the same without judgement. You can like/dislike the way they express themselves aesthetically, but don’t make the mistake of thinking your opinion has any consequence or should be shared.
