Vampire Ammo
Blue-tipped Israeli 7.62x51mm, it was marketed as “Vampire Ammo” because of the wooden bullet head. The rumor mills back in the day used to promote this ammo as creating a wound that was impossible to treat because the wooden bullet would splinter internally. In reality it was used as training ammunition since it was cheap and reloadable. (GRH)
