you being “woke” in rpc doesn’t mean shit if you’re just picking muses of color to appease us. you have to put the effort in researching and RESPECTING your muse’s culture and that comes with picking an APPROPIATE face claim and NOT washing out their skin tone for an aesthetic. you can’t pick some tan white person you think suits the character and say they’re “brown enough” bc then you’re just as bad as hollywood’s casting lmao. you can’t claim to be “woke” but then disregard any help from rpers of color out there actually willing to help. don’t tell me it’s “not that deep” because even in roleplay representation matters and unlike hollywood you can Do Better.

all of the png’s are saved into a psd file and are categorized according to the type of doodle they are (hearts, stars, circles etc - each folder file is named accordingly so they aren’t hard to find). the original size of each doodle is 500x500px so they’re very easy to resize to fit any image !!

to customize color of graphic: layer → layer styles → color overlay. 

you can also add shadows, strokes + other overlays to the doodles if you so wish !!

Listen. The reason I hate “Mental Illness AU’s” is simple. they’re super ableist. but imma break it down anyway. 

9/10 times are written by ppl who don’t fully understand the disorder/are too lazy to do any kinda proper research. 

they also tend to be based LARGELY around stereotypes.

9/10 times they’re for shock value and treat mentally ill people (especially ones with “”scary”” disorders like psychosis and DID) as Spooky Halloween Props rather then, y’know. People.

Coincidentally villains are often the ones with the “”scary”” disorders in these AU’s. I wonder why that could be.

A lot of these AU’s treat mental illness as something that can be cured or even managed by True Love™ or Magic Dick™ or some kinda bullshit which is just painfully not true.

I am a psychotic person who literally can’t talk about my psychosis outside of certain web circles and therapeutic settings without ppl thinking it’s some Faux Edgy 2012 Cringe™ and that is ABSOLUTELY in part due to stereotypes that “Mental Illness AU’s” help perpetuate no matter how Progressive™ and Creative™ ppl think they’re being for making them.

and i am not saying that ppl shouldn’t be writing mentally ill characters if they themselves aren’t mentally ill/ have the illness they’re writing about. But don’t fucking trivialize or romanticize it. Do your goddamn research. Be respectful. Understand that mental illness isn’t something to make your shitty AU “Extra Angsty XD”.

Tumblr Update PSA

Okay so the tumblr update that lets you see if people are active or not is up and running. It shows a green dot next to the icon in the chat if you are on. This is what it looks like. The ones with the green dot haven’t turned it off yet. The ones without did turn it off. 

If you do not want to be seen by other people here is what you do:

On desktop: go to setting then account and find this and turn it off. 

If on mobile —- go to settings > general settings > privacy 

you will see the same thing but it will say “Let people see that you’re active” and turn that off 

(you will still be able to see those that did not turn theirs off but people will not be able to see your dot.) 

also, you do not have to do this on both mobile or desktop it is one or the other whichever is easier for you!
