Hi there! Name's Alicroft (aka Chronic) | Spain | Artist: fanart and original art | Adult +20 | Multifandom | PLEASE don't repost my art on other platforms | Personal use is fine | Will be very thankful for the credits | Won't give you nightmares
Hahahahahahaha hi folks, I know I don't normally post art over here anymore, but I have less than 100 bucks to my name and I'm desperate, so.
I have commissions open over on Ko-Fi and VGen. I also have well over 100+ adopt designs over on my ko-fi looking for homes, most of them Pokemon.
If you're interested, please reach out to me on either of the previously mentioned sites, I don't really use tumblr for communication so much.
Reblogs are also appreciated, especially if you can't get smth yourself, since spreading it around will increase the chance of me finding a client and idk if tumblr still suppresses stuff with links in tags so👍
These have been sitting in my files for over a year now and I haven't touched them so. spits them out
Basically much like the leshy post I was gonna do a sort of summary for each of the bishop's arcs since I just couldn't bring myself to do longform prose for them anymore, but due to health and waning interest, I never got past Shamura's.
But I'll at least babble about it to the best of my ability below.
The main things going on being pictured is that the reason Ian was going out on solo patrols a lot is that he was actually seeing somebody, Aurora. She's that character I needed to design real suddenly all that time ago lmao
Aurora was a daughter of Phanuel, who had learned the truth of the curse befalling his children and had fled Anura as a result, becoming a refugee of sorts in the Silk Cradle. Ian had met her, and took pity on her plight, eventually becoming romantically involved. He'd take patrols to check up on her and bring in supplies, and discuss plans to get her to a place with more safety, intending to run away with her.
But of course, Shamura eventually found out, and realizing the threat that both Ian and Aurora posed, they killed both of them. These would be their first kills.
When Shamura reported the situation to Raziel, she did not like it, being very agitated that there was a defector within her own temple the whole time. She turned this paranoia onto Hecate, insisting she should have been more aware. Hecate didn't have much choice other than to bear the blame, having no real way to assure Raziel.
Cindy, the bat, I never had a solid idea as to how she would die. I was leaning towards it being Shamura accidentally doing it on a training mission of sorts, and being forced to lie that Cindy was showing herself to be a threat. Raziel would be satisfied with this, but Polly and Hecate would know the truth, and attempt to get Shamura to come clean.
When they attempt to, however, they go into Raziel's office, where she is in the throes of another paranoid spiral, and taking it out on Hecate. It is in that moment that in her blind rage and panic, Raziel kills Hecate, believing her to be the one behind the cracks in Raziel's order.
Obviously fearing their own life, Shamura clams up, only telling Polly what happened after consistent pressuring for a few days after.
Thankfully, a few years pass without further incident. Polly, with her almost unnatural stealth abilities, joins with Shamura in the Venom of the Moon, and they begin to go out and assassinate certain figures in the other sects at Raziel's discretion.
It's during this time that Shamura actually starts to warm up to Polly, as they have nobody else they can confide in, with their mother gone. Polly matures just a little bit, still being her bubbly self but being there for Shamura in their grief. It wouldn't be long before they become close, though it is left unclear if the bond is strictly platonic or something more--not even Shamura themself knows.
Eventually, they are instructed to find Michael's order, and kill as many people as possible, in order to cripple his Devotion.
They manage to find it, and incite a panic to take advantage of, though they only succeed in killing a couple of people (nobody of major importance to the story, I don't think), before Michael arrives and retaliates with a surprising show of force.
He fires Fervor that causes debris to rain down and topples trees, and unfortunately, Polly gets pinned under a tree. The mess makes it hard for those in the Death sect to immediately catch them, but they don't have much time regardless.
Though Shamura manages to pull Polly out from under the tree, the impact has left her paralyzed, and Shamura cannot carry her without risking being caught.
Thus, Polly asks Shamura to kill her.
Obviously they're reluctant, not wanting to lose Polly as well, but Polly reasons that she won't be of any use even if they get out of the situation, and being held captive would be too much of a risk for Raziel's order.
(Art by @ali-croft7. I regret not being able to use it for the full emotional impact I wanted, but it was still a wonderful commission)
So, Shamura does as she asks, making it quick and painless.
They go back to Silk Cradle to explain the mission was a failure, though they did locate Michael's temple.
The time between this and the sort of 'end' of all the young bishop's arcs is very hazy, but the end stands out for Shamura in particular, because unlike the other three Archbishops, Raziel is not killed by Narinder, but Shamura themself, poisoning her with their venom and watching as she chokes and seizes on the floor.
Narinder arrives a bit too late to kill her himself, but hey, one less Archbishop for him to deal with. He and Shamura have a small talk about things, before Shamura says their plan will be to take Raziel's place, and be better than she was.
Which would then go on to be the whole thing with the young bishops taking on the crowns themselves and so on. I'm tired so my brain is turning to mush in real time as I type, lol.
I dunno if you remember the doodles I did forever ago of a gal named Hazel, but I crunched up some lore about her whole deal, and now that's a thing in the backburner of my CotL world.
Which is a long way of saying I did another adopt collab set with @rabiesram to bring you some Seasonal Spirits! Their lore is linked in the kofi listings, but it's not required that you use it if you adopt them.
Narayana, the music you produced is magical. Your music has a perfect balance between everything, capturing the feeling of nature and warmth, and it's truly beautiful. You have been a cornerstone to this game and its community, and to see you go is very crushing to all of us. You might be gone, but you will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, river boy 🫡.
HI HI HI I hope you're alright and safe. I see your COTL AU Coven AU, and am VERY interested! Are some of the elements of the og premise still there, like your Lamb mc being the last lamb, except this time they have to build a coven instead, with witches as the setting? Please tell us more about it your art of it looks exciting and I love the title card so cool. Would you tell us the hypothetical gameplay and village sim style?
Have a gentle week come to you, drink water and eat vegetables regularly!
Hi!! Thank you for your kind words and your interest my AU <3 Your question makes me wanna draw a bunch of things but, for now, I'm gonna answer like this:
Is the Lamb mc the last one of their kind?
No, but like the og Lamb, she died and met TWWO. There is also a prophecy (a little bit different), that tells about freeing a god that was betrayed and more~
What does the Witch have to do?
She has to recruit new witches, defeat her Patron's enemies and break the seals so He can come back to the mortal world (cause like the og Narinder, He is imprisoned in his own realm).
Are there any Bishops? Or is there something else?
Instead of Bishops, they are called Patrons. Their divine power is related to the forces of nature and they are considered personifications of certain things.
The enemies you might encounter would be from unpleasant creatures to enemy witches... and inquisitors.
How a gameplay would work?
I think it would be more interesting to answer this in a future post, but to resume in few words: not anyone can be a witch. The number would be smaller than your regular cult, but you have to build a bond with your witches. They are your support for the toughest battles. They're your equals, they made a pact with the same Patron. You will be their leader if they see you as one.
So yeah: help with their requests, throw a party or two, give them a chance to grow as witches, give them responsibilities when they look prepared... Unlike the original one, faith is not what will make you keep your coven: is trust. However, the reward would be still devotion like the game (like I said I might need a post to develop this fgghg).
More about the hypothetical gameplay:
- You don't actually wear the crown, yet.
- There might be other creatures who ask for your services. Y'know, regular mortals with their needs and desires.
- Rituals would have to be done at night mostly. These are performances of pure, ancient magic and requires some chanting and music~
- There are witches who wouldn't like to run a cult. They'd rather choose a priest or priestess to guide the new cultists. The Witch (or some of the coven's members) should check them from time to time and make sure the cult is contributing with the Patron's needs.
