INTRODUCTION!!

Heya, you can call me Zephyer or Zeph. You might’ve known me as @/asktheoutcastedkids, but I’m choosing to start anew because I have lost some interest in the Drama Squad/Outcasted Kids sadly..

I’ll be posting about my AUs/HCs for Camp Camp, but you will mostly find me on TikTok as @/l0stpers0n0. I also write on Ao3 as Ali3n_Z3phy3yer, but I do not write often, and my fics are updated infrequently.

Camp Camp is currently my main interest, but I am in other fandoms, such as, School Bus Graveyard, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Haunted Hotel, and many more.

Summer break had ended, and the campers at Camp Campbell were now at their homes, getting ready for school and sleeping earlier than before. Yet their minds still went back to the camp… But it was just school. Nothing new would happen, right? Or the campers are back to school after camp ends, and coincidentally… They all end up being in the same school! This AU is currently on Ao3. Maybe School Isn’t So Bad. random confession but my favorite way of portraying neil is as a temperamental guy with the biggest superiority complex known to man. he knows hes sort of pathetic but he’d rather dig his own grave than admit it

i do think he cares very deeply about a lot of things and he worries a lot especially about other people, but i think neil is more of the type to care about what others think of him versus actually caring for those people. i think he has a strong set of morals that play into it as well, but it’s less about caring about others and more of he wouldn’t be able to forgive himself if he failed to uphold his own standards. sort of performative and for his own comfort, that kind of thing.

like he will flip flop between being compassionate and disregarding others depending on his personal goal and/or if it makes him look/feel better. i don’t think he realizes he’s doing it until he gets older though

i just really think the reason max and neil click so well (but also clash a lot) is because they’re both very pained and stunted individuals who really only have each other. and this is due to them both being very jaded and kind of selfish, thanks to trauma. and someone like nikki fits in easily with them because she is very easy going, naive, and also has a lack of care for others outside her own objectives. they do care for each other deeply and love each other a lot, but all 3 need to change in order to be actually happy and happy with each other as well.

ik they’re not as grey in canon but that growth is what makes them special to me. anyways

TW: Mentions of SA & rape

So I've been thinking about Nurf's backstory lately and have seen a few posts where people said that he's a pretty overlooked character compared to Max who also has trauma, and I do actually agree cause I haven't really seen that many people talking about him.

He has an awful relationship with his dad who physically abused/choked him, it's implied that he got sexually assaulted/raped and he was labelled a "problem child" for just existing the way that he is. I think he needs more attention as a character. The potential for a lot of angsty stories with eventual healing/happy ending is there, what I will definitely read if I ever come across any.

He's also in my opinion one of the most complex characters in the series. He bullied others due to the way he grew up and due a lot of repressed emotions and also abused Preston but changed over the course of the series to have a better and healthier mindset. And also has standards when it comes to bullying, when he said he "only bullies Neil on Tuesdays, Thursdays and nondenominational holidays as he understands that he celebrates the Sabbath" and said that he "won't take part of the fake news plaguing society" when Campbell tried to frame David.

I also think that he really needs a friend.

This was made a while back and it shows my old art style, but I still adore it, as it’s the only art I have drew where all the campers are here.. It was based off a fic I made. They’re very found family core to me.. Nurf and Ered are definitely the older siblings. (with the implications that this might take place in S5)

This is Charlotte’s REAL design. She’s 12 when my AU takes place, and is currently under CJ’s care since her father isn’t eligible to take care of her. MORE Facts-

Wants to befriend Max

Can speak to ghosts (not mentioned a lot though.)

Struggles with Math and Science but when it comes to Reading and Social Studies/History she’s very skilled.

The first two Background Campers

Say hello to Charlotte! She’s 10 years old (11 when she actually appears in my AU) and attends Violin Camp. Charlotte is very gloomy and dark, but that’s just the personality she puts on so people don’t realize she’s just socially awkward and cannot speak up for the life of her. Her style is gothic, and her design is the one of the more detailed out of everyone in my AU. Facts!! She’s Filipino. I decided for her more detailed design to not give her the camp T-SHIRT because I thought Dolph shouldn’t be the only camper without a yellow T-Shirt. Charlotte’s very interested in ghosts, spirits, and occult stuff. She can talk to ghosts. Her CWMC (connection with main camper) is that she knew Max back at school, but they don’t talk as much as they used to at school, now all Charlotte wants is to befriend him and make them back like how they used to be. But sadly that’s a struggle for her since outside of talking about ghosts and stuff… She’s very awkward. And can’t hold a conversation without mentioning ghosts. So Max at first just finds her odd. She dislikes Dolph, but I won’t go too deep into that as it’ll be shown the more I talk about her. Her home life!! Charlotte’s mom and older brother passed away when she was 6, and she wasn’t able to say goodbye. ever since then her father has been struggling with money and is constantly working. This leads to Charlotte not getting a lot of attention from her dad, so she ends up learning about spirits, trying to get her dad’s attention, and also trying to communicate with her mom/brother.

This is Amelia!! This character’s information was created mostly by my friend, so credits towards her, but the design was made by me. Amelia is the same age as Charlotte and it’s Charlotte’s best friend due to understanding Charlottes so called “weirdness.” It attends Animal Observing/Science camp, but in no way does it harm animals. Amelia is very silly, goofy, though supportive of whatever its friends do. Facts!! Nobody really knows where it’s from, it just says it’s a Gatorade bottle to confuse people. It DESPISES seafood for an unknown reason. Amelia brought a weapon to camp for some reason, this caused other campers to stay away from it for a while. It cannot spell for its life. It’s CWMC is that it knew Nikki back at school, and was one of Nikki’s close friends. They were chaotic buddies who caused some chaos around the school frkm time to time. can speak to animals just like Nikki for some reason. It has a three-eyed pet dog named loosee Amelia DESPISES, has a MASSIVE HATRED towards Max, it’s so confident, that all Max is some egotistical kid, who thinks he’s so awesome for pulling some silly pranks. Max hates its guts back. But even with this, Amelia does support Charlotte with wanting to befriend Max, and even gives tips from time to time for her, that DO NOT WORK!! they are all ANIMAL RELATED!! Its home life is actually pretty okay, it has two moms and two dads, due to its parents divorcing after realizing they were lesbian and gay. But not in any way are its parents toxic!
