Alice Kingsleigh || Twenty-Two || Floater || Non-Magical
Alice was born into a family of pretenders. At once point, they were quite wealthy and dances and mingled with the upper class. But her father was a gambler, and they lost everything in a bad hand. But they were allowed to keep the house, which was large and extravagant. There were no more workers, no one to tend to the gardens; but Alice had never cared for that. She liked taking care of herself, she liked tending to the gardens and watching her older sister Margaret put whenever she could. Her mother though….she liked to spend the little money they had throwing parties and trying to set her daughters up with an eligible bachelor. Margaret went along with it, but Alice had chosen to focus on other things. Like stuffing her face with the pastries she ate and dancing like a mad women off-beat on purpose. She was constantly getting into trouble and being sent away to her room. Alice didn’t care though. She was always lost in her head, acting on her impulses, and disappointing her mother. Her father always encouraged her to act on her creativity and when he disappeared while on a business trip, it broke Alice.
She didn’t leave her bed for days. She had fallen into a state she has never felt before and she didn’t know how to find the will to bring herself out of it. She wouldn’t eat or interact with anyone. She just slept and thought about her dad. Her mother didn’t know how to handle her, so she got her a therapist and threatened to send her away if she didn’t act normal again. The only thing to really come out of it was getting the medical help she needed, but after months of being in her head she finally came out of it again. She was back to the old Alice, energetic and determined to follow her creative path as her father wanted. Her mother was done with her by the time she had gone back to normal and decided that she would be sent away to a boarding school from wayward girls. It was at this boarding school that she met her best friend Dinah and together they got into all sorts of mischief due to Alice’s curious nature. Every now and then Alice would feel herself going through her “tired” phases, staying in bed, feeling like a zombie, but Dinah really helped her keep moving. That and visits from her Margaret. Her mother hadn’t spoken a word to her since and when she graduated she was living with Margaret in her small home.
Alice didn’t want to go to college. She didn’t have much of a drive to and she was too curious about other things within Arendelle. She heard whispers of a rose that contained magic beyond their wildest dreams and she wanted to know more about it. She doesn’t know how that sent her to Wonderland, but it did. She heard magic was made there and the moment she stepped foot into it, she found out that the whispers were right. It was dirty, a little kooky, and Alice felt like she belonged there. She was a minor when she started working there, but the owners let that slide as long as she didn’t try to get up on stage and dance like the other girls. She did whatever they asked for and when she was old enough to get on stage she did. But she wasn’t always a dancer. She bartended, she talked to guests, she served tables. Margaret didn’t approve of Alice’s new job, but it seemed to make Alice happier than ever. But then Quinn Hart started trying to change Wonderland and Alice refused to let that happen. She stole papers from her, dipped them in drinks, and tried to listen in to her conversations. She was just looking out for the people at Wonderland. They were her family now and she would do anything for them.
She is curious about it and is eager to learn more about it.
Tiberius Mayor: Alice has seen him around Wonderland sometimes and she likes his energy. When he is there when she dances she makes sure she glances his way and sometimes gives him free drinks without him knowing.
Chace Cheshire: She adores Chace the most out of everyone she works with. He is such an odd fellow and she can never figure him out. But that is part of his charm.
Whitley Rabbit: She tries to help them relax. They are always getting so stressed out over Quinn and her nosiness and Alice knows that if they try they could be of better help to Wonderland by being calmer and having a bit of fun at the place instead of waiting for its downfall.
