@alices-fate
the doors are open.
the child instructed me here, though…she was shaking. clearly unnerved. she told me you acted like a character she liked and i got out of there as fast as I could as to avoid her ranting.
who are you, traumatizing the girl?
@alices-fate
my name is ace, and I truthfully didn't mean to unnerved her at all, you must believe me. I only wanted to spark conversation, not fear. My aim would never be to... "traumatise" anyone. You're. Alice? Or at least I assume.
Mmhm. Soon I will not be, but you can refer to me as that. “Alice”.
If it wasn’t your intention then she should calm down soon. She’ll probably make a shitty joke about it being “just like verity!!” and move on. Just…Do not do it again.
Tell me more about yourself. Where did you even come from?
"verity"..? I don't know who that is! And I can't exactly pinpoint where I went wrong... sorry.
Myself? I can't quite remember where I came from. Probably wasn't important anyhow, seem as I can't remember!
…My memories are blurry as well.
…
……..
…apologies, I can’t say im a person of many words.
that's a-ok! I'm sure I can do enough talking for the both of us, I love talking to people.
mmhm. then…i can listen. i’ll say, im eager to see your face. i wonder what Aorta would think of you, he’s attracted to the strangest people, honestly…But with the way you creep around I think they’d like you.
my face? Well- I'm not the most attractive person you've ever seen...if you can even call me a person at all. I'd love to meet this aorta guy! Sounds like a real thrill. Where can I meet him?
… @deepinyouraorta. i’m sure she’d be thrilled to talk to you.
ive been switching around pronouns…I don’t think they care much. just use whatever you want, they’ll still engage in happy conversation.

i feel so tired
with aorta i feel a bit better
but what is life without my friends?
i have no soul at all
it belongs to the hell.
i
belong to the hell.
i wish i had had time to change my name
because “Alice” was too feminine.
but im stuck with that one now.
i wish me and aorta could be human and we could have real jobs and pay real bills and live real lives. i wish we could raise children and experience the pain of letting others go. i wish i could know my name and my identity and where i am and who i belong to.
god…damnit. i’m sorry. i apologize. i should keep these wallowing thoughts to myself. it’s not your problem, gabriel. it’s mine. mine. mine.
I think I get where you're coming from, and if it helps you at all to vent to me I don't mind. Even if it is my problem, I'm sure it feels good to get that weight off your chest, no?
No matter, if a new name is what you want I'd be glad to give my suggestions.
…oh, bless you.
i would adore a new name but it would take much getting used to. and honestly it’s not like my employers would take it well.
i may ask aorta what they think first. im sure they’ll be very supportive but id like to hear it myself.
I’ll come back to you when I’ve thought it through. Thank you, Gabe.
What is wrong with you?!
what…? this isn’t about your friend, is it?
Jesus Christ, you’re gonna scare them! You can’t just approach people and spy on them, you’re fucking terrifying!!!
I do not care. Humans are cruel and you are with me. With us. So you need to listen to us.
Aorta wouldn’t do this!

It doesn’t matter. I’m feeling a bit better.
A bit is not enough. Tell me who injured you. Tell me who hurt you, Child.
LOOK AT HIM
HE’S SO 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Okay…? Am I supposed to care, or….?
Don’t you be rude now. Sure, that…thing is not quite interesting. But it’s disheartening to the child to tell you about something she likes and have it brushed off so carelessly.
From what she told me that thing kinda reminds me of Gameshow….
The Gameshow Anon…?
Hmph. Whatever.
LOOK AT HIM
HE’S SO 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Okay…? Am I supposed to care, or….?
yo in tomodachi life you confessed to Alice and Griefer from block tales confessed too and Alice REJECTED your asses
Did it now…? Rejected Griefer as well? Didn’t you and Cal tell me about him..? He wouldn’t like Alice. And Alice would not like him.
Rejection is a way of life. One day they’ll get it right. That’s what happened in real life, anyway!
@alices-fate
this seems about right.
I wanted to get the job done as soon as possible. Even the friendly churches of my childhood creeped me out, so this was obviously no different.
The church was old, archaic almost, and stood in the middle of a shrouding forest, hidden away from the outside world. When I first unlocked the heavy oak doors, a chill went up my spine as the cold air gushed out. I'm not one to get easily spooked, I'm the least likely person you'd know to get scared, but this didn't sit right with me.
The church felt damp, which meant that it would be less likely that the candelabras would alight...going by earthly logic. But by the way Alice worded it, it seemed like earthly was far from what this church was.
Although I will admit, this was my first time dealing with a supernatural cult. I had dealt with the supernatural and the occult before, but never at the same time. Seemed as if I was in for a real treat. /sarc
@alices-fate
a newcomer to the church arrived soon after, a traveller looking for hospitality. While I am no grace or virtue, I couldn't turn the poor girl away. She seemed young, and in desperate need of a place to say, especially in the pouring rain. I helped her inside the building and onto one of the pews so she could lay down.
I asked her about what happened, but she seemed to tired to speak, so I found a sheet from the sacristy and gave it to her to use as a blanket, as she slept softly on the wooden pew.
Thats all that's happened so far, and at the moment I'm just waiting here, sitting next to her. The candles haven't lit yet. Im glad of it.
That was the only rule, right? There's not something I'm forgetting? Whatever. I'm sure it doesn't matter too much if I can't remember it.
@alices-fate
After it’s awfully tense talk with Aorta, Alice ventured back to it’s church, using their mauled wings to unaffectedly cover their hair from the pouring rain.
It got grumpy by the time it got back to the church, and as the doors opened, that traveller awakened at the noise. From the silhouette of some person with…Wings? Oh, she needed to hide.
Wherever the person who had let her in had gone didn’t matter. She had to hide from Alice, who was rummaging through a random cupboard to look for cups. They were wet and cold, but maybe tea would help.
It had no idea there was an intruder in it’s church.
I quickly junped out in front of alice to speak with it, blocking its view from the church inan attempt to give the traveller a chance to hide, or even better, escape.
Soo...Alice! How have you been?? I minded the church for you, do I get paid now or what??
Shit fuck nonono oh god
“Oh…You’re still here.”
Alice didn’t seem too amused, but it sighed and waved it’s free hand.
“Yes, yes, it went fine…You could say me and Aorta have agreed to certain relations. You shouldn’t care.”
It chuckled.
“You want money? When did I say I’d pay you…?”
You were acting strange, and it would pry the secrets out of you. It sipped from its cup.
I straightened up my posture and flashed a tired look over my shoulder before my eyes flickered back to you, my face judgemental as ever.
You didn't, but I don't do favours, bud. Pay up.
I took a step forward and tried to take up as much space as possible to block its vision even further.
Doesn't matter what, just as long as I get payment in some form so that my hour here wasn't a complete waste of time.
Plus, I did exactly what you wanted me to, right?
I gave a quick smirk as I could almost feel My eyebags getting heavier from my lack of sleep. I just wanted to get out of here and get adequate rest. I didn't need it's bullshit.
Alice rolled its eyes and took another sip.
“Maybe.”
It didn’t just keep money on them. Not like the Below payed it to take souls, or something came along with a couple crumpled bills they could use. One day they’d find some abandoned source and get money from there.
“Don’t expect anything today,” It warned. But that wasn’t the final note.
“I saw something moving when I walked in. Do you know what that is…? Perhaps some sort of rodent or…someone?”
I froze and awkwardly cracked a nervous smile again before zoning off.
N-no... I didn't see anything haha...maybe you're imagining things...? Haha..
Fuck.
-I whispered under my breath. My eyes darted between Alice and the door behind them, desperately trying to make sense of the situation at hand.
”Do not lie to me.”
how-how the fuck did it know that ??whatthefuckohmygodshitshitshitshitimdeadimdeadimdeadimnotmakingitoutfuckfuck
I froze up, unable to speak. A look of fear washed over my face as the traveller made motion once again behind me, this time more obvious. I let down my arms and took a few steps back, ready to do the only thing I knew: run.
”Evadstra, do not run away from me! Is there somebody in here?!”
