i love the part of growth that allows you to look back on a previous period of your life and recognize that parts of it were unhealthy. something that felt so normal wasn’t in hindsight. you’re not supposed to feel that tired all the time. you’re not supposed to be treated like that.
there’s so much joy in living a private life. looking really pretty and not posting it, going to a new city and not telling anyone, getting a fancy dinner by yourself dressed up.... like it just feels like life.. i feel alive and less preformative
“Here’s the secret: Nobody’s ready. Every single day, each of us receives some kind of offer in our shaking hands and feels unqualified to accept it. It’s up to us to become bold enough to trust the opportunity, come out of hiding, and start dancing with life–to be messy and complicated and show up anyway.”
— Glennon Doyle
A little reminder:
Exercise makes you feel good. You deserve to feel good. Take a small step towards fitting in a little physical activity today.
“Don’t wait for everything to be perfect before you decide to enjoy your life.”
— Joyce Meyer (via onlinecounsellingcollege)
Remember to appreciate the baby steps. They all add up. They’re important. No matter how small.
relationships are so much healthier when the goal is to experience life together and not to try to make the person into who you want them to be or to make them do what you want them to do.
Why every woman should weightlift
Your ass will look fantastic
Your body composition will change
Your bones will be stronger
Your heart will be healthier
Your body will become more defined
But more important than any physical change that will come from weightlifting is the MENTAL change. Because ladies, lifting weights is one of the most empowering activities you can engage in.
As women, we’re conditioned to want to be smaller. To be more petite, meek, submissive, quiet, polite. To take up less space, physically and figuratively.
Weightlifting will increase the size of your thighs and your presence. It will make you stronger, more confident, more appreciative of your body. It will make you feel powerful, sexy, self assured, and LARGE AND IN CHARGE.
So to my beautiful ladies: please lift weights and don’t be afraid to get bigger. Don’t be afraid to take up more space.

once you stop fantasizing about that ideal version of yourself and start working towards becoming that person by setting your alarm clock earlier and actually going to the gym and actually volunteering at places and actually eating healthier and not procrastinating and working just a little bit harder you’ll realize that it was so easy all along. becoming your ideal self will only ever exist in your mind until you make the decision to work towards becoming that person. get up!! get going!! it’s now or never!! there is no light at the end of the tunnel!! get that flashlight and pave your own path bitch bc no one else is going to do it for u!!
“Your body is capable of almost anything if you treat it the way it deserves to be treated. You can climb mountains, run for miles and bend in ways that make people cringe, with the nourishment and love that you should always be striving to give it. Try loving your body, treat it as if it is a old friend, as if you want it to function into old age, and see what your body gives you back.”

Do the little things; do them every day. Get better, get stronger. Improve every single day, physically and mentally. Run all of the miles. Cross train your ass off. Do all of the core. Lift all of the weights. Expand your mind. Read anything you can get your hands on. Write everything down and let it heal your soul. Focus on yourself. Focus on being the baddest, fiercest bitch that you can be. Because the only person that can give you everything, the only one that can accomplish all of your dreams, is you.
“You can only grow if you’re willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable when you try something new.”
— Brian Tracy
