(↑ this is from my instagram story. i’m trying to be more active there too so do follow me if you’d like to see more frequent updates!! i also plan to post wips and behind-the-scenes to both tumblr and insta once i figure out a workflow that works for me)

in case you can’t tell, the animated short is a christmas special, but i took my time with it soo i’m two weeks late oops!! this project is why i haven’t posted in a while (working on it was very tiring but fulfilling)

since i’m starting my diploma in animation later this year, i want to learn and experiment with more complicated software and animation. there’s so much that i need to learn, but there’s also so much that i’m going to learn

i hope you enjoyed it!! i do plan on making more animations occasionally because they’re time-consuming <3 drawings and illustrations will be my main focus (they’re my favourite)

have i ever mentioned how their relationship makes me feel because GOSH they’ve been through a lot and they’re still sooo in love <3 breathes in deeply. sighs longingly.

instead of my usual illustration style, i went for a painterly vis dev style and it was a very enjoyable process!! glowstone beach is a beautiful place and i would love to visit a bioluminescent beach someday

i haven’t been drawing claire and bernard as much as i want to. in fact, i haven’t been drawing my ocs all that much,, i’ve been doing things though trust—like existing!! it’s been hard and it doesn’t seem to be getting easier but it’s okay i will try again. tomorrow is another day

my first selfship post on my main art blog… i post space mission content on selfship blog (@spacemission-ship) go check it out if you want to~~

the project was a bit more complicated than i anticipated. i wanted to work on it in just one procreate file, but there was a layer limit so i had to separate the animation and do compositing in an external software. the colours are a bit funky in davinci resolve—that’s why the colour grading for both the still and the animation is slightly different. the result isn’t perfect, but it’s pretty!! and i’m happy with it

am i neglecting my passion project? a little bit,, sorry… but i’ve been doing some aoc writing!! and other stuff!! i’m wayyy more active on instagram (i post bonus art and wips) so do follow me there if you’re interested <3 i don’t post a lot of my works on tumblr for some reason

i initially wanted to choose a lndh song (hence the title) for this post but i wasn’t feeling any of them anymore. so i stayed up to find a song and it’s 4am now… so sleepy…

BACK with another animation yayyy!! it’s been forever since i’ve done an animation meme/trend and oh my do i miss that— i’ve never tweened in toonsquid before actually, and the last time i tweened was during my gacha animation meme days which was a LONG time ago. also, i learnt how to colour grade in davinci resolve!! gotta love learning new things <3

i honestly wanted to do more this month but. it’s been a rollercoaster,, i had a few very miserable days, but they reminded me that my best isn’t behind me; it’s waiting for me. and once i’ve lived it out, it’ll wait for me again and again. honestly, i feel so aimless. i’m looking forward to the start of my college semester so i can finally feel some purpose again. i also can’t wait to graduate from college and move overseas. i know i’m being impatient… i should wait for everything to take its course

i had a lot of projects lined up until august to build my portfolio, but the scholarship application opened earlier than i expected,, i still want to work on them though, even if they won’t be seen by the assessors

they’re the cutest UGH i’m so envious of the both of them,, may this kind of love find me 💕

the title of this illustration is a line from the poem “six poems for tamar” by yehuda amichai (translated by stephen mitchell) 🥹 it’s so tender and so them… “the crescent moon fits the line of your cheek” OUGHHH!! love poems are incredibly romantic <3 the song too!! john loves jazz and brooklyn learns to love it too because it reminds him of his boyfriend. “i wish for the rain” is mellow and melancholic, a song i’d imagine would be so lovely and soothing during a quiet, rainy night in a gloomy apartment

i lean towards cooler colours so it’s been a while since i made an overall warm-toned illustration. I LOVE IT THOUGH!! their relationship is warm, comforting, and simple 🫂 poor brooklyn his life is so hectic and stressful he deserves this

also they’re in his apartment~~ i’m still conceptualising how john’s mansion would look like (it’s so fickle in my head) 😞 ARGHHH i got this!!

🪽💫 Star Child — a POP MART-inspired art toy

i’m sure pop mart needs no introduction!! their art toys are absolutely gorgeous ✨ and they inspired me to make one of my own <3 although it’s not the physical thing (yet)

i have some experience in 3d modelling, but not with zbrush. so, i’ve been learning the software while creating this toy for the past month (it’s so much fun actually hehe~~) i wanted to make one of nicholas too (they’re a pair, after all) but that was a bit too ambitious,, i’m too eager to begin my next project!!

i’m so happy with how my baby lou came out 🥹 especially considering i’m a newbie to both sculpting and zbrush. also the above piano cover of rises the moon is sooo beautifully haunting and perfect for aoc’s story 💕 DO listen to the song’s lyrics!! auggghhh i want to share the meaning and details of this toy BUT i can’t because it’s huge spoilers 😞 the struggles of having a passion project of this nature…

it’ll be really cool if i 3d printed this at a local library but in order to use the printers there, i have to attend a workshop blehhh,, i’ll most likely find the time to!! the thought of tangibly holding my oc is sooo emotionally rewarding… my baby… i’d honestly LOVE to make and sell aoc merch someday if it gets popular 🥺 a girl can dream

since i now have a pretty 3d model of lou, if you guys have any ideas for what i should do with her, let me know!!

this illustration is commissioned by my friend @feiilau!! it’s his persona and billy from burn (the 2019 film) <3 i never do commissions but this was a special case (it’s kinda complicated),, i’m so happy to be done with this though!! can’t wait to draw my ocs hehe~~

also i did the colouring and rendering in one day :3 that’s a first from me since i always take my time with big drawings /pos 💙

GOSHHH finally done with this!! i’m so ashamed of the timelapse i think i was half-focused the entire drawing process,, that’s why it took such an embarrassingly long time BUT it’s okay the illustration turned out pretty <3 i like the softness and glow of it (might have went a bit too much with the bloom oops)

my main inspiration was nesya’s music—i even titled the illustration after one of her albums!! i loveee the tired longing romantic vibes and sense of dread of her songs

there are symbolisms in this artwork does anyone want to analyse it *blink blink* :3

AHHH i’m having so much fun with my new sketchbook!! and i got new art supplies i can’t wait to make cool art with them <3

i’m also practising figure drawing and i want to learn about the muscles soon. i’ve been putting off studying anatomy (seriously) for a long time now and it’s finally time i start improving my fundamentals grahhh
