Today is Ritchie Valens Birthday! A pioneer in the Chicano rock movement who released the single "La Bamba." He tragically died in a historic plane crash, an event that was nicknamed “The Day the Music Died. “ The Wikipedia article about him is slightly incorrect in the fact they call him American and Spanish. He was a Mexican Native and an Indigenous Brother to the people of the sun!
