Idiot guide for journalists : how to make people hate you
Last year came a story to the center of public attention with the headline “student arrested in the university carrying the novel 1984”and soon started the talk about the freedom and oppression in Egypt while hardly anyone looked at the real reason for the arrest and that was taking pictures of the security guarding the university last week we had almost the same story big headline that has nothing to do with the real story the headline “student arrested carrying drawing pens and university book” trying to get more views in a country where the relationship between the government and the press and the people like this
the activists community see this stories and shares it as oppression
The Egyptian government was like
and the people was like
but when the western media talk about the story from the activist’s point of view the people starts sympathize with the government against what is perceived as foreign interference
with the government and the supporting media outlets actually calling for censoring the news either subtly or openly
the people will start cheering approving stopping the annoying trouble maker journalists to protect the country
that if they didn't do it themselves
i mean really how is faking news or/and showing half truths is going to help defending freedom of expression and human rights in general
what is the percentage of the people support for the activists and the left wing in egypt compare to the support of the traditional state or even the islamists

Stories from the wreckage
From jan 25 2011 till july 3 and even after there was headlines about the protests, the economy and the political life in general but what i see now is there are other stories that seem to be forgotten or didn't have much focus from the media. and the independence of El-Mahalla is one of them.
In late november 2012 a group of youth in El-Mahalla fed up of the political turmoil in cairo clashed with the muslim brotherhood supporters that was not the kind of violent protest that ends when the security forces arrives as we all thought as the clashes continued more injured people resulted in more anger and on November 28 left over 100 people injured
And on december 7 a number of protesters -almost 5000- stormed the city hall and declared El-Mahalla independent and free from the muslim brotherhood ..
At the time talks about dividing the country has been and still outrageous except this one time when the talk in the rest of egypt was how to get the visa and migrate to the newly independent state that came with waves of internet comics from gaining a seat in the UN to establishing new Airlines to even joking about Al Ahly FC breaking football rules by having 4 foreign players instead of 3 because the celebrated defender Wael Gomaa is now mahallawy and not egyptian.
and then the designs for the new flag started to appear and of course any country needs a passport
Other cities in delta in north egypt made the same like Tanta and El Mansoura but of course all of this was signs of anger that led to june 30 revolution.
PS. almost three years after that story El-Mahalla now wants financial independence from cairo :)
Any Country’s worst nightmare is to have a politician like that. The Picture is what you get when mixing Donald trump with Boris Johnson and the Egyptian lawyer / zamalek FC / former presidential candidate Mortada Mansour
the 3 of them not only known for their strange behavior but also how aggressive they are and the are all conservatives too and the three of them have the ambitious to be head of their country

President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi issues a pardon for 100 "youth" imprisoned in cases of breaching protest law and humanitarian cases. Names included in the presidential pardon: Canadian journalist Mohamed Fahmy and activists Yara Sallam and Sanaa Seif.
Openly liberal Helmy El Namnam swears as the new culture minister in egypt’s new government
El Namnam is a known enemy of the islamists whatever the name they go by whether it is muslim brotherhood or salafi or isil or any other
in 1992 he witnessed the debate between Sheikh Mohamed El Ghazali and the secular writer Farag Fouda. El Namnam was at the time a young journalist predicted that Fouda will be killed for his opinions and that is exactly what happened.
In the biggest corruption scandal in egypt, we have Hamdi El Fakharani arrested while taking bribery, he was the official responsible for fighting corruption And today court declare prison sentence of 25 years for his son also for taking bribery
