Well. I’m officially graduating from the University of Birmingham with a first class degree in social policy with an 84 on my undergraduate dissertation 🎓🎉🥹
I’ve not been too active on this account for many years – the honest answer for this is because I’ve worked alongside my degree and battled with health issues, so despite these things – I’m so proud to be graduating with a first, this felt unattainable at the beginning of this academic year.
Having spent most of my educational life with undiagnosed ADHD. I’ve never felt academic – I’ve always fell short of the grades I’ve wanted or needed. So to achieve what I have done this past year I’m still in disbelief and shock…
In terms of what is next for alilystudies, for now, my studies have come to an end. Postgraduate is something I’m considering, this year I had an unsuccessful ESRC 1 + 3.5 programme, while I was disappointed at the time, on reflection I’m glad to be having some time off from studying. It’s brutal sometimes!
If anyone wants to keep up with me you can find me on pretty much any other social media platform as @/ lilysoaper 🌱🌟
I hope to return here soon, but for now – thank you for helping me through my study journey 💌
