funny how the league of villains would have been the 'heroic' protagonists in a different franchise.

Literally a ragtag group of traumatized underdogs fighting against/ lashing out against systems of oppression, killing racists, business men, mob bosses, abusers, and corrupt cops alike; while finding family and belonging with each other and growing from their connections with each other. They are like the unequivocally lawful to neutral good in basically 60% of other media.

what I'm getting from briefly scrolling though the stranger things tag is that this is basically this generation's version of the Sherlock and conformitygate is the new johnlock conspiracy.

#but also unless season 3-5 got really good when I wasn't looking stranger things has not been a masterclass in writing since season 1 so idk #what people were expecting you don't make seasons of 'bad show' on purpose and there was never going to be a way for them to fix all the #problems in one episode.#being mad about queerbait etc is super valid and I encourage people who are upset to write and spread awareness and I def think y'all were #taken advantage of but its also a big budget show that has had less then stellar writing for years so it would have been wise to manage #expectation and be stable enough in your fandom enjoyment that you could articulate criticism of the show and not bend over backwards to #convince yourself it is good. sometime we like bad things. bad things can have moments of brilliance and are compelling as hell #and there is always value being able to articulate why something works or doesn't.

Hate hate hate in fic when tomura interacts with a hero character and he suddenly drops to C-tier intelligence stats
