Like bats were the most useless mob in the game, I just think it’d be a nice touch to have like, a king bat or something. Or something that lives in the deep dark with the warden; it could have a whole swarm of bats with it at all times that attack you if you get too close. It could drop something that can act as a parachute or early game elytra.

since theyre adding water caves, how about a giant cave serpent that could perhaps be a miniboss. if you kill it , it drops serpent's gills which work like turtle helmets but they dont have to be crafted, they also give you water breathing when youre underwater, but it lasts like 10 seconds.

Oooh that could be cool. And what about all the new types of fish they could add? Like stuff that may only be found in deep oceans of our world could live there. Anglerfish, goblin sharks (even tho Mohammed said they’d never add them) hell the axoltol has a horrifying cousin that lives exclusively in caves, the olm!!!!!!!!

another concept, tameable wyverns! they wouldnt be able to be ridden or to spit fire, but you could put them on your shoulder like parrots(but much bigger, youre pretty much giving them a piggy back) and if you fall you can glide like with elytra. theyd be super hard to tame but be worth it. you can extend your glides like with elytras, but be sure to not hit your buddy! i imagine youd tame them with a new cave meat and theyd spawn high up in caves
