For Russian South Park zine with l u v. It was extremelly hard and stressful to draw this artwork and write a coursework at once, and I was afraid I wouln’t be able to hit a deadline, buuut I managed it. Also It was a wonderful opportunity to create something cool with other artists! c:

Reblogging again because this is the ONLY “fashion through time” video that does it right. All the others glamorize/modernize the eras WAY too much, esp. considering they’re claiming historical accuracy. This is the only one that truly nails it.

also actually to make another point: get a real life outside of this website. the way this website encourages you to constantly seek out problems with everything and to be in a constant state of wearing yourself down trying to appear as a perfect progressive activist all the time so people don’t “cancel” you isn’t healthy. a lot of the discourse people get into on this website does not exist in the real world. your friends and family are not going to “cancel” you if you don’t parrot back everyone else’s opinions perfectly. you are not obligated to put every single thing you enjoy under a microscope. 

this website really encourages black and white thinking in terms of other people, ourselves, and the things we enjoy, and it’s not healthy. it’s good to be critical and conscious, but not so much so that you tear yourself down for not being perfect and can’t let yourself just have fun and enjoy stuff.

The linocut for my third project is now complete! Featuring a Damara Megido with Yakuza tattoos, after plushest of spooks suggested “a cool interpretation of Damara”.

This was drawn out before the latest game, so it was a happy surprise when I saw Damara’s personality with the recent updates XDD

The tattoos are based off the one on Shoko Tendo’s back, who wrote the book “Yakuza Moon: Memoirs of a Gangster’s Daughter”.

Time spent carving was a full 12 hours (although not all at once this time) and the size of the linoleum is 8.5” x 12”.

1 full shot of the piece, a close up on the design on Damara’s back, a close up on her face, and then an upside down shot of Damara’s back, simply because I couldn’t let that dragon go unappreciated. That little guy gave me hell.

Also. Ram horns. NEVER. AGAIN.
