I was giving Jon a bath last night and noticed Jon had a slight Bubble Butt! I took him to the vet thinking it was an anal gland issue and come to find out it’s a perianal hernia. He thinks Jon’s weak leg doesn’t have enough muscle mass where his thigh meets into his pelvis and it caused the hernia.
He’s not in pain it seems, thankfully, but he needs to be on a laxative and got some medication and will need a check up.
An update on Jon’s hernia, the vet doesn’t want to perform surgery on it and thinks he can live fully with it. So I have to monitor how he pees and poops - everything is good. There is a risk of these hernias entangling the bladder and bowels but his vet doesn’t think it’s an immediate threat.
Luckily with regular walking and some of it being light hiking, this hernia is reducing in size gradually and is easier to push into his pelvis and even stays in sometimes.

Dutton on her long line this evening. She loves to visit the fields.
Jon went to Tractor Supply and snubbed everyone who tried to pet him and refused treats from the staff. He said “No thanks, Im here for sniffs!”
Introducing Dutton! I got her as a pup last year and she just had her 1st birthday on Feb 10th.
Her parents are working LGDs on a cattle ranch. She guards my poultry, quails and rabbits. Hopefully someday I can expand to other livestock.
Long time no post! Sorry about that!
Jon’s doing great! And here’s my LGD Dutton (girl).
We went to a trail today since it was nice and cool out.
Sorry for long hiatus! Been so busy. I’ve had my niece for 3 days and she helped walk Jon and he was having so much fun.
Sorry ya’ll just been super busy lately but we do jogging and joring as usual.
I don't even know where to begin to be honest. But I need help badly right now, and don't know … Raven Suzuya needs your support for Please Help Save Midnight
Hey guys, one of Jon’s doggy friends is in need of medical care. Please share and donate if you can.

End of tonight's 🚲 run. My cellphone refused to record the 10+ minutes of the main run but managed to get this on the last end of the run. Freida joined a bit but Jon didn't want to stop 😂
Btw it's mega hard to film this. I made a tripod for my phone using a stick and wire lol
Looking great! Back to daily joring!
Freida came over to play with Jon this evening and while playing she vomited up 2 gallons worth of Mac and Cheese! Wtfffff
2 miles!
First scooter run since my foot injury and we had a blast!
pro dog tip don’t do co-ownership
Im genuinely curious, what kind of terrible situations can be brought on through co-ownership?
I ask because I see a lot of breeders turning to this method now days. In some breeds, it seems if you want to get into obtaining a show prospect/breeding prospect you pretty much have no choice but to do co-ownership with the breeders. Or is it the puppy buyers who are causing these issues with the co-owned dogs a breeder produces?
I don’t know much about it, but I always wondered of it’s possible downsides.
If the breeder doesn’t like what you’re doing with your dog/you have a falling out, say goodbye to doggie and/or have a bunch of drama dragged into your life
Oh yikes! That isn’t anything good :/ Knowing the dog community and how it can be with drama, it’s more trouble than it’s worth I guess :O
