Over a year ago my mum discovered a band - probably from the radio - she spent weeks playing the same song from that bad on every car trip we took. Cub Sport is one of the most amazing bands I’ve ever listened to, the bandmates are absolutely the coolest, kindest people and though I didn’t get to meet them - or even get close to them - at this concert; at their under eighteen’s Brisbane concert a year ago - after hours of dancing and with sore feet - I remember shyly giving the lead singer a hug, after they signed my friends’ shirts.
Their music in a lot of ways changed my life, certainly it opened up a whole new genre of music to me and soothed me in hard times.
