Since no one here really knows me anymore, I'll tell you: I've been up since 8 AM yesterday. I have no idea (yes I do) how this happened, but I genuinely am still in shock I'm still going.

They joke about long-distance truckers or fighter pilots but I have never been able to make it this far.

All my life I've had a textured relationship with rest, let alone slumber. I wouldn't describe prior events as full mania (yes, reader, I'm aware this is) - In high school, college, in my 20s I'd try to get to 3, 4, 4:30 and psyched to push myself to see if I could do it -

but exhaustion would always take over. It's the hardest crash. I'd imagine it is what the most violent hangover feels like radiating through your bones.

I was working on Excel until 1230 - and then I just thought my brain would turn off until it didn't. And I just.. kept going?

Today has been incredibly clear, in a way that I'd say feels crisp like right out of a claritin commercial. It made me want to write again. I'm deeply mournful I can only do this when I'm at my limits.

Oddly dissociating to Euphoria by Kendrick on repeat finishing up work - nervous what closing my eyes will feel like, but somehow I've survived.
