bluehaired-tales:
What a very strange individual.
At least that was what she had supposed to herself, and had decided that it was perhaps best that she kept that comment to herself too.
As mysterious and cryptic as her statement was, it was purely intentional. Maybe this one would be put off a little and would think no more of it.
Oh how wrong she was.
Pari watched them leave after they had conversed. Thinking to herself that they probably wouldn’t be back. Although it didn’t stop her from contacting her handler just in case. As such, she often kept her ears to the ground for any new work leads.
The next night however;
Pari had been flabbergasted by the appearance of Libra once again. Apparently her cryptic commentary hadn’t put them off. As unsettling as they were, oddly calm, it still didn’t stop her from being polite and passing the glass of water to them.
Their following question caused her to raise a brow.
“I did.. and he was actually wondering if you were being serious. Seeing as you’re back, I’m guessing you weren’t put off. I’d take my hat off to you, if I indeed wore one. Yes, turns out I have a job. But we cannot divulge it here.”
“Good.” Libra smiled, eyes glittering for a moment with childish excitement, mixed with an approving look, but one that less suggested I’m glad it worked out and more all as things should be. “Of course, I’m serious. If not, I wouldn’t have come in the first place. Is there a back room in which we can discuss?”
This time, Libra didn’t so much as touch the glass of water, seemingly void of any interest in it. After all, Pari and her line of work were of much more interest to them...
