But when I played Jack Kelly I was doing double duty in Les Mis while also was currently playing Mitch Mahoney in Putnam County spelling bee ( I dropped the last role ) but I ended up losing my voice and getting an infection 3 days before opening

Jonathan Bailey was the first person to speak up about the genderswap in bridgerton, and he said some of the reactions were really upsetting to him. and he's not the only queer actor in that show, so it's time for these homophobic bigots (who are mostly straight women btw) to think before writing a harmful comment. because francesca and michaela might be fictional and therefore can't read these disgusting comments, but the queer actors in the show and the queer fans can, and they're not doing damage to fictional characters but to real life people.

Wicked For Good Head Canons Contrasting Scarecrow and Tin Man

Had this in the drafts for about a year and I realize I’m not gonna make a full fic out of it. So here you go!

Fiyero is clumsier, falling over himself and hopping back up and brushing himself off like it never happened. It makes Dorothy laugh and he plays it off to make her happy, but Boq can see it for what it really is.

It must be hard being so graceful on his feet, so strong and limber like a soldier, like a prince, to this bumbling thing made of straw and burlap. Fiyero drops the act when he thinks no one is looking, but Boq is always looking.

Fiyero was a dancer! Always moving, always smooth like water rushing through a river or a bird gliding through the air. Now he can't make it three steps without tripping.

Boq was always a bit awkward and clumsy. But he was always invisible, able to blend into the background. It was comforting sometimes knowing that when he embarrassed himself no one cared to notice. 

But now he couldn't go unnoticed. Every step he took, every turn he made, he creaked and clunked and screeched. He couldn’t help but draw attention with every movement. He hated himself, this hunk of sheet metal and oil he had become. 

Fiyero hides it with humor and overdone optimism. Boq is just angry and broody and silent, because otherwise his new form can destroy everything with a single punch. 

He was a punching bag growing up, but now he has unstoppable strength he doesn’t even know what to do with. 

It's Elphaba's fault. If she had just let him die he'd be free. But she was selfish, trying to keep him tied down to Nessa forever. No one can stop him now though. He would make everyone pay.

fiyero finding comfort/pride in his transformed body for the first time when dorothy says he's just like a scarecrow back in kansas. fiyero still being terrified and uncertain of how to move now and what life will be like (and whether or not elphaba will still want him when he's this) but knowing he can take just the smallest sliver of comfort in the fact that when a little girl was lost and far from home (after being dragged into a horrid conflict she had no place in) she looked at him and saw something that made her feel safe and comfortable because it reminded her of her home. and post.

It honestly says so much about society that the Wicked character who represents depression and disability from physical trauma is the character people say is “useless” and “ruined”.

No being ableist is not necessary, people will treat him like he is absolutely the worst character on earth. Like you seriously do not have to like him at all but the ableism and the constant comments of “oh he’s ruined now”

They treat fiyero like a broken and useless burden, like why is this such a common and accepted part of the fandom of being ableist to a character rendered disabled from trauma

I’ve seen people say some truly horrible things that are just a straight-up slap in the face to real people who relate.

In addition to the horrible ableism surrounding his physicality, I’ve also seen “people with depression shouldn’t be in relationships,” and “it doesn’t mean anything that he sacrificed his life for Elphaba because he had depression anyway so he wasn’t sacrificing anything of value.”

Real-life health issues that impact millions of people are not something to be weaponized into some kind of moral failure, and if that’s what you need to resort to in order to tear down a fictional character it is time to go outside and talk to some real people.

Exactly!! He is a fictional character and not even the origin point he is a combination of three different book characters!

I think people need to examine where this stems from because it’s genuinely disheartening to me ( as someone who relates so heavily to Fiyero)

It’s seriously not even funny to joke about these kinds of things, Fiyero is treated like some absolutely disgusting person for being depressed and then becoming physically disabled
