"Jingle bells, jingle bells!" The albino sang with a wide grin on his face, his eyes shimmering with joy.
"Get the hell out of my way!"Ā
Allen can't stand these slow walkers clogging the hallways any longer. He's gonna get his sleigh and run everyone over.
Successfully managing to steal a tub of ice cream from the kitchen, Allen quickly scurried down the hall while holding the container above his head.
"Yes, I've got it!"

Twenty-One: Your muse blindfolds mine
Cautiously, Takako hands Allen the blindfold. āSo, what, does this mean you get to do whatever you want to me? Or do I just sit here in the dark?ā She knew some of the moreā¦Ā explicit connotations of the blindfold, butā¦ well, Allen wasnāt that kind of guy, right? Still, she found herself hoping heād do something, without going too far.
Takako shivered involuntarily when Allen tied the blindfold around her head, cutting off her vision. She couldnāt see him, but he was still really close. His hands on her shoulders helped a little bit, but mostly it just increased her knowledge of their proximity.
"Umā¦ not really? Justā¦ Iunno, donāt hurt me? I trust you, okay?" She hoped he understood what that meant, coming from her.
"Don't worry." He whispered as a devious smile spread across his face. "I've got you." He dug into his pocket and fished out his phone. After pressing a few buttons a song began to play. Not any old song, the song.
Ā "What does the fox say!"
"No!" It was automatic, her loud denial and glare. Then Takako blinks and backtracks, looking away as her ears and nose blush. "ā¦ Yeah, maybe. A little. Kindasorta." Her voice gets quieter and quieter as she speaks.
"What was that? I can't hear you." Allen cupped a hand over his ear and leaned in as if he didn't catch a word of what Takako said but he heard everything. Seeing her like this was a rare sight and he just had to take advantage.

Taking the blindfold, Allen begins to wrap it around Takako's head. "I wouldn't want you to get bored just sitting here so I'll try my best to entertain you." He actually had no idea what he got himself into, he was just an innocent sixteen year old boy.
"Anything you want me to do in particular?" He questioned nervously, his hands resting on her shoulders.
"IāI justā¦." How to say this? Itās not like Takako can fib about her fear of the supernatural (and other such horror topics), because Allen of all people will know sheās lying. āD-doesnāt it scare you? Like, at all?ā
"Hmm?" Scare him? Allen was absolutely fascinated with it. "Not at all, spirits are cool." The albino glanced at Takako a bit confused before a grin broke out on his face. "Don't tell me you're scared by such things."Ā
Despite her nerves, Takako finds herself reflecting Allenās grin. And then it vanishes, and she looks away, scratching at her neck. āIsnāt it a littleā¦ dangerous? I mean, you donāt know what kind of spirits you could be getting, orā¦ wait.ā She stops and looks back at him.
"Have you actually done it before?" Takako asks Allen, eyes wide, both from disbelief and fear.
"Yeah, I've done it tons of times." He said while remembering all the times he'd seen something of the afterlife. His smile fell at the sight of Takako's fearful eyes. "W-why are you staring at me like that?"
"Itās so quietā¦ I mean, I know everyoneās at the dance, butā¦ wow, literally everyone is at the dance.ā Sigh. āI wonder if anyone else didnāt go? Or even left earlyā¦ maybe the cafeteriaās still open or something.ā Probably not, but she could pull an Allen and sneak in. āI should go see. Maybe other people are hanging around.ā
"The cafeteria is still open." Allen whispered from behind while popping a candy into his mouth. "I just raided- I mean came from there." He quickly corrected himself. "Why aren't you at the dance?" He questioned curiously.
Takako walks out through the doors to the dorms, escaping for a bit of night air to wake herself upāshe still had a lot of work to do. She hears murmuring in a familiar voice, once outside, and she turns to find Allen sitting on a nearby bench. Fighting away the knee-jerk reaction to run and hide (because wow why was she feeling so awkward it was Allen for chrissake), she steps closer to him, trying to hear what he was saying.
Oh. Thatās what he said. āY-you donāt actually believe contacting the dead works, do you?ā she asks nervously. If he decided to do so, she would NOT be around him on Halloween.
A bit startled from the sudden response, Allen whipped his head to the side and saw Takako. His heart fluttered, causing him to grin back at his friend. "It works and it's really cool!" His smile widened as he observed the unsettling expression on her face. No one thought his interests in spirits was a good thing.
Allen sat on the old wooden bench just outside of the dorm building. A light wind blew causing his silver locks to dance in the night air. He really should be inside finishing up his homework but he could manage to miss a few assignments, right?
"I wonder if it'd be a good idea to contact the dead on Halloween night..."
No Allen. Just no.
"I think I'm falling for you."

Allen, youā¦ what?ā She stumbles over her words, unable to even form complete sentences in her head, and finally she falls quiet, staring at Allen for a moment before she drops, crouching on the ground and hugging her middle as she stares at Allenās and her shoes.
"ā¦ me too," she whispers after a minute of silence, eyes on the ground.
Takako smilesāreally, really smiles, unable to hold back how excited and happy she wasāand approaches Allen quickly, throwing her arms around his neck and embracing him tightly.
"I feel likeā¦ like I should say something more, but Iām just really happy right now and I have no idea how to express it," she says softly, face near his neck. Her mind was racing, but every time she found the right words they exploded from all the nerves and excitement she was feeling.
Wrapping his arms around her waist, Allen let out a small chuckle and nestled his chin into Takako's hair. "So for once you don't know what to say? That's a first." He mumbled, a little thankful he wasn't the only one lost for words at the moment.Ā "Can't exactly blame you though, I don't know what to say either. Sweets have never made me this happy!"

Takako shakes her head, running her fingers through her hair as she looks up from her crouched position. āNo, itā¦ it wonāt. Definitely not.ā She watched Allen as he looked around, and slowly finds herself grinning. She couldnāt quite pinpoint when her feelings towards him started to move past friendship to something more, but it had been long enough that sheād grown accustomed to the slight leap her chest gave when she was around her friend.
Suddenly, she stands up. āCan Iāā she stops, a blush blossoming across her cheeks. āā¦ Iād really like to hug you right now,ā she finally manages to say.
A hug? Allen was more than happy to give her what she wanted. Opening his arms, a smiled tugged at his lips as he let out a quiet, "Of course..."
He had no idea how or when these feelings escalated to this level. Wasn't Takako constantly teasing him and he still hadn't forgotten that one time she ate his precious jelly donut! But none of that mattered at the moment. Not one bit.

Allen's blush darkened as he looked around the room, his thoughts a bit disheveled due to the good news." That's a relief, I thought it would ruin our friendship."

Her smile Faded into frown as she felt the embarrased flush slowly take over. āAh, I fell asleep while readingā
"That's really dangerous, you could have encountered demons or something!" Allen's face slightly paled at the thought of coming face to face with one of those things although it was on his bucket list.
When Allen pulls away, Takako lets out the breath she hadnāt realized sheād been holding. Then she laughs quietly at what he says.
"Of courseāwe wouldnāt want you withering away to nothing, would we?" she remarks, shaking her head as she laughs. She takes his hand in hers, then, stepping forward and reaching up slightly to give Allen a quick peck on the cheek.
"Youāre too good to me," she whispers, still close, her breath brushing against his cheek. "Thank you, Allen."
"W-why'd you do that?"
Allen's entire face became red as he averted his gaze from Takako. Though he was surprised, his hand remained in her own and he remained where he stood. "It's nothing really.' He whispered with a pout.
Takakoās chest hurt: Allen was hugging her and running his hand through her hair and it was so strange but it felt really nice and she didnāt want to pull away.
When Allen did separate them, although it was for a short moment, she opened her eyes and met his gaze after he wiped away the tears that had managed to escape. A genuine smile? āIunno, Allen. Iāll give it a shot,ā she says, trying to joke. She cracks a small smileāhe was trying so hard to make her feel better even though she was upset over the silliest thing, and she was happy. 'He's too nice to me,' she canāt help but think as their foreheads touch.
"There we go!" Allen's grin widened at the sight of Takako's smile. Now that that was all over the albino noticed the position they were in and quickly pulled away,blushing.
"Well then, I t-think I have some r-raiding to do." He pouted before adding, "The good thing is you're feeling better."Ā
"Ehhhhhhhhh? Foxes can talk~? No way! No way! Do you know what they say? Huh? Huh?" Beau leaned right into the boyās face, a silly grin hung off his features. He was going for the dunce, outgoing type today.Ā "Huh?"
Where did he come from? Allen was a bit upset his alone time had been interrupted but he brushed it off. Returning the smile, the albino said, "I'm afraid I don't know..."
Obviously that ridiculous song that went viral knew nothing about foxes or what type of noises they made.
