Y'all honestly know nothing about the music industry to think that Spotify streams are valuable. The real tea is that y'all are talking about single sales and the Beyhive discusses ALBUMS which Beyoncé gets MONEY from. You can get almost anyone to stream a song or buy it for $1.29. Yes. They do that successfully, but people only invest real money in what they think is valuable, like $17 for a Beyoncé album. These girls out here can barely get 100k people to purchase a $9 album within a week, while Beyoncé is charging almost twice as much pulling 450k+ in that same time. Then she goes platinum in a month, if not before that, while most others catch up in pure sales in about half a year, if that. So yeah. Take your cute singles, top ten hits, and teen choice awards. Beyoncé told y'all in 2013 that anyone can do that. What they CAN’T do is create and SALE a solid, long-lasting album. SHE CAN, and that’s what being a musical artist is about. Albums. Performing. Selling. She’s doing all of that and has the media buzzing (no pun intended) around her non-stop for her work while her peers are tweeting to remind y'all that they realeased an album last Friday. Keep your singles, girls.
