Which should I get? What's the differences? help meeeee I need better shoes c:
Deadlift 3 rep max: (warm-up: 65-85) 105-125-135-145-155
WOD: 4 rounds + 5 sb 10# dumbbell, 26# kb, lateral jumps instead of double unders
I FINALLY got to do deadlifts!! Is 155 on a 3 rep max good for a first try..? Hmmm!

Although my times was pretty terrible... I dont know. It was all those burpees fault. :/ and I did 55# squats and 26# kb.
It definitely made me realize how much I missed it. Thank God I'm done with the mono and I have a summer of crossfit and work ahead of me.
Think I'll show some amazing improvements when I return to my box at school in three months?

This place is PERFECT for me, and one of the coaches actually graduated from the same college that I am currently attending (: Just like the box back at school (but over 2x as big!) Gotta love it... working out in the humid, hot, Houston air!

Ugh, this workout. Granted, I'm coming back from being dangerously ill, but STILL, it kicked my butt. I should have gone a lot heavier on the kettlebell and bar for the power cleans, though; i'm thinking one bell up and maybe 45-55 pounds on the bar. I just need to figure out how to not let my breathing kick my butt. I could move my legs, but I couldn't breathe, and I had to stop 3-4 times during the burpees and maybe 6 times during the singles. I suck at endurance, hate hate hate hate these types of things. Hopefully i'll get better at them... If ANYONE is in the Houston area, go to Atomic! Great coaches and people, they were really nice- didn't even know me and cheered me on while I sucked it up during the wod. (A bunch of different coaches, too- if you need yelling, they got that covered too!) I can't wait to go back.

WOD @ Crossfit Caveman
After a 2+ month break due to mono/pneumonia/tonsillitis and two weeks of finals, I'M BAAAACKKK, CROSSFIT! Thank goodness, I was feeling SO lazy. I just came back home for the summer, so I tried out the two closest gyms- Crossfit Caveman on Wednesday, and Atomic Crossfit today. Here's how Caveman went! WOD:
Warm up = Tabata Row (20 sec work, 10 sec rest x 8; every 10m under 1000 = burpee penalty) I did 25 burpees. ): First time I have ever rowed, though; the box I go to while at school only has two row machines. "Tabata This" (20 sec work, 10 sec rest x 8)
Squat (13-13-10-10-10-9-8-9)
Pullup=Ring Rows (7-5-3-3-4-4-3-4)
Pushup (8-7-7-5-5-5-5-5)
Situp (7-6-6-3-5-5-4-4) <--- I figured these out halfway through. I've done them incorrectly my whole life, and they FINALLY clicked :/
total = 19 ): leaves a lot of room for improvement.....

Air Force WOD
This made me angry in a way I never thought a workout could.
I was force to go to the 4pm class (usually I do 7am but lately I've been sleeping like crazy) which is an all ladies class. And there was like.. 10 of us. we only have 5 girl bars. So I was stuck with a man bar, which I probably could have done the whole workout with; however, whatever I did to my back 2 weeks ago would NOT allow that.
The thrusters took me..~7 minutes because of this. I almost finished- I had about 8 oh squats left and then the 20 front squats, which I kind of love, at 20 minutes.
Did I mention that I hit my chin with the bar? Surprised and scared me so bad that I literally could not breathe for 2 minutes.
So really I did this in 18 minutes, but like I said.. Frustrated. Give me this terrible wod in the fall again so I can redo!!!
Air force WOD:
every minute on the minute do 4 burpees.
20 thrusters (45#)
20 sdhp (45#)
20 push press (35#)
12 oh squats (25#) <- maybe could have done more.
0 front squats (45#)
~18 minutes time.

Terrible shoulder soreness
I love it but hate it.
It's a sign that yes, I did push myself yesterday, and yes, I did work.
But sometimes it does impede on my daily activities. Such as the cultural Japanese dance that I perform 2-3 times a week. Or, you know, washing my hair, etc.
I did mess up my back yesterday, but my shoulder soreness is overpowering it. Perfectly fine by me. I need to figure out some mid/upper shoulder stretches though.

RX would have been 95lbs, but obviously I did way less... 55lbs. I cannot wait until I'm strong enough to rx weight!!
I could have done it in less time, maybe ~10 minutes, but I wasn't getting myself under the cleans for the first couple rounds, and was instead leaning back; now my back is incredibly sore, and it hurts when I lay flat. Ouch. I really hope I didn't screw it up that much...
Tomorrow I was supposed to go to crossfit at 7pm, but I have to go to the hospital for a CT scan to check my lungs (mono residue from pneumonia) and get an ultrasound on my neck for a potential cyst in my thyroid gland. Hopefully all of this will result in good news...
Maybe I'll do death by burpees in my room since i'll miss my wod :]
