Life by Alliee Fields @La Fidula
Well...I’m back!
Madrid, me mata.
Just feels good to keep making music though
Those are the days when I am brave enough to face a silent audience with a naked heart and a firm voice...

This was my first Open Mic in London @ Absolute Vintage in Brick Lane back in 2014.
I remember it was so exciting and cousy. It felt like home already.
Missing the East.

>1, 2, 3, 4< This project started as a child play and is becoming a clubbing track
From the other side of the Thames I can see the city. I'm getting inspiration from the streets, writing ideas, playing with sounds... Good things are out there people!

Recently, I have been rewriting old lyrics and working on the development of basic electronic beats and base lines. I got into a richer electronic melody I didn‘t expect... Wait and see¡ It has been FUN so far!
A bit of how this is going for this project is coming up soon...Stay tuned!
Listen to Life by Alliee Fields #np on #SoundCloud
“Life is an abnormal business” I heard at the “Rhinoceros” theatre play my flatmate Lydia performed last year at Questors Theatre in West London.
You never know what is going to happen next. Planning, investing time, efforts and money on building the perfect lifestyle the media set up in your mind and at the end I realised Its all about love and the simple things you enjoy the most.
I know it is the perfect cliché of live the life you love, and keep yourself surrounded by family and friends but being a creative individual I find difficult to keep both things together. I guess that it is the same for everyone: Trying to find a balance. Sometimes you find it, sometimes you lose it. Sometimes you are ahead, sometimes you are behind. But It is always important to keep a positive mind and embrace the ruins as treasures to learn and keep moving and flying to the next adventure.
I wrote this song just before quitting my job and moving to London. It is an inspiring piece about growing up personally, accepting facts and taking challenges.

Lovers that hurt but we wanted them to stay anyway
Remi Zapala, guitarrist and producer helped me to develop the melody for this song last year. Big thank you sailor man!
It was written in 2010 while I was bored trying to study for a statistics exam when I was still a psychology student... I failed the exam, but I wrote my first song in English.
It was heard live a couple of times at the London open mic circuit last year. God knows it was a catchy tune...
Biography
I'm a Spanish-born, Colombian-raised and London-based singer-songwriter. I have travelled the atlantic and across the borders looking for music adventures. From a classical background in Colombia, I played the violin there in a philarmonic orquesta at school until life itself showed me other paths to music... My parents are doctors who moved to Madrid when I was 9, I wrote my first song then. The music was travelling, evolving and growing with me. During my teenage years, I took a walk on the wild side and I met the electronic music scene in my lovely spanish capital Madrid and Ibiza. The truth was that 'Party brought me there, music made me stay'. After highschool, I left the books on hold while exploring London life and its trends in music, fashion and arts. Back to my home-town where the fugitives always come back, I enrolled to Psychology studies (wtf?! yes, I had time overthinking about life). I wrote a second song when I was bored studying for a statistics exam (the truth is that numbers weren't my cup of tea). On my third year studies, I joined an electronic music project in a small town in Belgium, Lovain-la-neuve, promoting new artists and organising events for the university campus. Back in Madrid, I bought a guitar with the payment from my first office job which I didn't enjoy. By then, I started writing folk songs. I graduated in Psychology and worked in a Talent Acquisition department at a french company for a year (yes, let's admit it, everyone has a dark past. Not for the french side but for the corporate thing, it wasn't my cup of tea neither). With some savings, a couple of bags and three songs, I decided to move to London again to start performing at open mics where I'm now doing my bet for the luck and the sun, hunting the fun. (This would be the chorus of a new song...) Looking forward to release my first EP soon, I would like to invite you to listen my first demo songs. Are you ready?
