Pixar’s SOUL (2020)
😭😭😭
It however does not cast Social Services in a bad light. Cobra Bubbles does a lot to try to keep Lilo in Nani’s custody and I hate how overlooked that is. He legit shows remorse when he does try to take Lilo, which he only did because of her very reasonibly alarming phone call and the destruction of their house. Point is they didn’t make social services into a heartless judgy entity
they actually made a good point about how a system originally designed to be consistent and fair can also lack the sensitivity and flexibility needed to deal with complex situations. this is shown both when Stitch is labeled a monster and when Nani is judged for not being able to earn a living and constantly watch Lilo at the same time. Neither happened because the people making the calls were cruel--Bubbles and the Grand Councilwoman seem to mean well, but both were expected to make judgments very quickly by their organizations... and both used loopholes to make kinder, fairer decisions for our heroes.
Let’s note that those decisions and loopholes included allowing Jamba and Pleakly to move in with Nani and Lilo, thus giving her some additional support (no matter how dubious) in maintaining the household and caring for Lilo.

Aside from fracking, being transphobic, being racist, continueing harmfull stereotypes about gay men, fracking, treating pearl like he did, fracking, etc
He's not transphobic, there's no reason to have trans women in a drag show, because then it isn't drag.
saying 'trans women in drag shows aren't doing drag' is, in fact, inherently transphobic. drag is NOT 'men dressing as women on stage' but rather a stage performance deliberately exaggerating the performance of gender. drag is gender as a farce, and it's open to anyone.
assuming youre going off of the logic that all trans women medically transition or are gender conforming, it's easy to see where a cis drag queen might see a trans woman in drag as having an advantage (yikes,) but her being a woman doesn't mean she can't still exaggerate femininity via drag. if the style and intent is there, it's still drag. gnc women and afab nb people performing femme drag? still drag. drag kings, cis and trans? they're not femme at all, but that's still drag. and let's not forget how many young trans people get to experiment with gender expression even before they realize they're trans while in the drag community; how can you feel justified kicking someone out of their hobby, career, or passion because they decided to transition? or do you think that's a miniscule number, so they don't matter?
drag isn't men in dresses, it's making a mockery of gender stereotypes and gender expectations as a stage performance, and if you think being trans makes you exempt from mocking gender, you must not know or care a lot about trans people.
I bring up this argument whenever my family, who don't live in the US nor will ever move there, try to tell me that "defunding the police" is a bad thing
