Tis The Season (Complete)
This is my very own really horrible hallmark christmas special, you’re welcome. It’s going to be horrible, but it will make you smile…or at least I hope. The Winchesters are old money and their family is super judgemental. In true hallmark fashion the ending will be more fluffy than Mrs Butters fresh made whipped cream.
idk why I'm in such an angsty mood but it really came out in this one
4.3k words, angst, hurt/comfort, reader is really hurt but lives, lots of crying, mentions of nausea and vomiting but nothing happens
summary: you're the brains, dean's the brawn, that's how it's supposed to be. when a pack of werewolves tracks you down while they guys are out, they're left to deal with the emotional fallout
---------------------
You were on research duty, holed up in the musty motel of the week somewhere in South Dakota. The weather was too cold, you were bundled in layer after layer at the small table, huddling over your laptop like it could provide heat. The case was a strange one, but strange was normal when you traveled with the Winchesters.
Sam and Dean were out questioning people, gathering local intel while you plugged away on databases and articles. People were going missing, disappearing without a trace, and the PD had almost no leads to go off of. Your phone buzzed with a text from Dean in your groupchat, a photo of claw marks on a door filling the screen.
“Shit,” you mumble, typing a quick response. “Wolves?” His answer comes quickly, “think so.” A message from Sam comes through, “can you check the traffic cams on Frontage and Waylon? Got word of an SUV blasting through there the other night.”
You search for the right cameras, skimming through the footage until you spot the SUV in question. You write down the license plate, texting it to the guys and immediately getting a call. “Whatcha got?” Dean’s voice sounds down the line. “They took Frontage west at 2:30 Wednesday morning, I’m only able to track them until they made it out of town,” you click through more cameras, trying to pick up their trail again.
“We can head that way, see if we can spot it.”
“Send a pic of the truck,” Sam asks, you hear him sliding into the Impala next to Dean. “It really stands out in this town. It’s too fancy for…” Movement in the parking lot draws your attention away from the screen, your blood running cold when you see the same SUV pulling into a spot across the way. You reach for your gun, standing slowly and moving to peek out of the window with bated breath.
Dean says your name, “you okay?”
“They’re here,” you whisper, staring at the dark tint on the windows like you might be able to spot someone. “What?” Sam asks quickly, you hear the Impala roar to life in the background. “They’re in the parking lot, car’s still on, no one’s gotten out,” you double check that the door is locked, sliding a chair up under the handle for a little extra defense. “We’re coming. You got silver bullets?” Dean’s voice is tight, on guard and worried.
“Yeah,” you murmur, “and a knife.” You hear Sam exhale sharply, “don’t let them get close enough to need that.” You peek back out the window, breath hitching when all four doors on the SUV open. “How far are you?” You ask quietly, cocking your gun and setting the phone down. “Five minutes,” Dean grunts, “you got eyes on them?”
“There’s four of them, they’re coming,” you keep your voice steady despite the fear winding its way through your body. “Fuck,” Dean hisses, “get in the bathroom, lock the door, don’t come out until we’re there.” You turn to do what he says, but the front door shatters off its hinges before you have a chance.
Two men step into the room, their eyes glowing and claws twitching at their sides. You drop your phone, raising your gun at them and shouting, “stay where you are!” They just smile, waltzing a little closer. “Been a while since we’ve had hunters breathing down our necks,” one of them drawls, stopping far enough away that you’re still out of reach.
“You’re dropping bodies, did you not think someone would get suspicious?” You’re buying time, you know that as soon as you shoot one of them, the rest will be on you. “We’ve been dropping bodies for years, we just accidentally nabbed a few that would be missed,” he shrugs, giving you an unapologetic look. “Our MO is to take the unwanted, you could almost call it a civic duty. We’re cleaning up the streets, in our own special way.”
“You think that’s your job?” You bite, shoulders tense. “Do you think this is your job?” He answers quickly, “killing good people that are just trying to live their lives?” You can’t help the laugh that slips out, “couldn’t we say the same thing about the people you’ve been killing?”
A commotion outside grabs all of your attention, the sound of a body thudding against a moving car floating through the open door. You don’t wait, shooting one of the men in the chest. The other one, the one who’d been talking, jumps at you, swiping your gun out of your hand and pushing you against the wall. Another shot rings out from the parking lot, the man holding you jumps and loosens his grip just slightly.
You grip your knife and move to stab him, grunting when he catches your arm and fights for control of the weapon. You land an elbow on his nose, wrenching your hand with the knife out of his grasp. He moves blindly, claws flying and teeth bared. A sharp burn rips through your abdomen, ripping a cry from your throat. You twist in a panic, jabbing your knife into his stomach with enough force to push him off of you.
He falls, then you do too. The ground is hard, your head bouncing when you land. You see him still, and then the pain sets in. You can’t pull in a full breath, when you run your hand over your shirt it comes up covered in blood. You force your head up, trying to see how bad it is. The movement makes you dizzy, the sight almost makes you pass out.
There’s shuffling at the door, one last gunshot ringing out before Sam and Dean are racing over to you. Dean shouts your name, dropping to his knees beside you and ripping his flannel off quickly. He presses the fabric to your stomach, making you gasp and shake under him. “Sorry, I know,” he murmurs, looking around for help.
Sam checks the two bodies in the room, joining you when he’s sure they’re both dead. “Shit,” he whispers, running for the first aid kit. “It’s not going to be enough,” Dean says, voice strained. “She’s gotta get to a hospital, now.”
You groan when Dean picks you up, fading in and out of consciousness from the pain. “Hey, hey! Come on, stay with me,” he begs, shaking you just enough to get your eyes to open. Sam runs ahead, opening the back door and jumping in the driver’s seat. He passes Dean another flannel when he slides in the back with you in his arms, trying not to focus on how pale you were.
Sam floors it as soon as the door is closed, watching in the mirror as Dean practically holds you together. You can’t get any words out, whining around the pain and trembling with the effort of staying awake. “We’ve got you,” Dean mutters, face pure fear, “you’re gonna be okay.” You tuck your head against his chest and let your eyes close, feeling how he shakes you again.
When you don’t open your eyes, he looks at Sam in the mirror. “We’re almost there,” Sam states, picking up the mantle of calm leader as soon as he sees that Dean can’t anymore. “Try to wake her back up, keep that pressure tight,” he’s just talking, he can see Dean doing that already.
“Come on, sweetheart,” Dean whispers, “you gotta wake up, you can’t go out like this.” He adjusts his grip on your stomach and it shoots pain through you, making you jump and gasp awake again. A few tears slip down your face, you see Dean’s glassy eyes above you, see how he’s fighting back his own tears. “That’s it, baby,” he sighs, his voice rough and broken, “yeah, hey, just keep looking at me.”
Sam slams on the brakes, jumping out of the car and running into the hospital for help. Dean pulls you out with him, carrying you straight to the gurney a team of nurses were pushing your way. Everything feels like it’s moving in slow motion, the lights are blinding and the rush of voices overwhelming. You see Dean beside you, his shirt covered in blood - your blood. Sam is on the other side, walking briskly and speaking to you in the best attempt at a comforting voice he can manage.
And then they’re gone, shoved out of the way by staff as you’re wheeled right to the operating room.
Sam and Dean watch you go, breathing heavy and ragged. Dean crouches right there in the hallway, dropping his head in his hands. “Hey,” Sam crouches down with him, “she’s gonna be okay, we got there in time.” He lays a hand on Dean’s back, trying to ground him. “Come on, let’s clean you up,” and Sam hauls him up, practically dragging him outside to grab spare clothes from the trunk.
Dean breaks when he gets to the bathroom, the sight of your blood all over him finally pulling a quiet sob from him. Sam comes back with a towel from the nurses station, finding Dean bent over the sink with his hands under the running water. “They said you can use the shower,” Sam murmurs softly, punching in a code on a door tucked in the back of the room. He peeks in when it opens, finding a small shower stall with a seat along the wall.
Sam sets the towel and clean clothes on the small counter and ushers Dean into the space. He gets confirmation that Dean can handle it on his own and shuts the door, sinking down to sit with his back against the wall. He hears the shower turn on, sighing when a soft sniffle drifts through the quiet. He allows himself a moment to process the fear, a few tears sliding down his face, his resolve crumbling just long enough to get the emotions out.
Dean takes a few minutes to just stand under the showerhead, refusing to look down as the water runs red around his feet. He can’t get the image of you, bloody and broken in his arms, out of his head. You weren’t supposed to be in danger, you were the brains, not the brawn. That was his job, he was the one that took the hits, that faced the monsters.
He thinks through the day, trying to figure out what he missed, what signs there were that they were being tracked. He and Sam had been careful, they always are, so how did he not see this attack coming? The guilt is suffocating, he feels it leaking out of his pores, washing down the drain with your blood. He curses that he wasn’t there sooner, hates himself for not driving faster, for not being there when it mattered.
The sight of you on the floor of the motel room sticks in his brain. The fear in your eyes, the paleness of your skin, the wet gasps you made with each breath, it’s all he can see and hear and feel. He scrubs his hands over his face, letting the water mix with his tears, like if they’re washed away then they never happened.
He shuts the shower off and reaches for the towel, ignoring the mirror on the wall as he dresses and pushes the door open. Sam looks up at him from the floor, sees his red, puffy eyes, and just pats the space next to him. Dean drops down next to him, resting his arms on his knees and sighing heavily.
They stay there for a while in silence, what is there to say anyway? They know they did their best, that you did what you could to protect yourself until they got there. Finally, Sam tilts his head, not looking at Dean but facing him a little, “she killed two werewolves,” he mumbles. “She did good,” he bumps his knee against his brother’s, huffing when Dean shoves him lightly.
Eventually, they get off the floor and head to the waiting room. Sam checks in with the nurses, gets steady updates that mainly consist of, “she’s in surgery, we’ll let you know when she’s out.” It feels like they sit in the waiting room forever, staring at their hands and twiddling their thumbs. Sam calls Bobby at some point, giving him the address for the hospital when he says that he’s coming.
A few hours pass and Bobby strolls in, carrying a salad, a piece of pie, and a book. He hugs Sam and Dean, passing them the food and asking if they’d heard anything yet. Dean just shakes his head, setting the pie on the table and sinking down in his chair. Bobby heads to the nurses station, telling them he’s your dad and suddenly they have more information for him.
“She’s stable,” he states, sitting across from Sam and cracking his book open. He doesn’t miss how Dean’s shoulders relax and his head drops. Sam looks away, wiping a tear quickly at the news. It’s the first time he’s allowed himself to express his worry, Bobby takes up the mantle of calm leader so easily it makes him feel like a kid again.
Sam leans closer to Dean and whispers, “she’s good, she’s okay.” He sees the tears gather in Dean’s eyes when he nods, lays a gentle hand on his shoulder and leaves it there until Dean sits up again. It’s another hour before the doctor comes out to talk to them, Bobby takes point, asking all of the questions he knows to ask. The doctor is patient, explaining that you’d been lucky to make it in time, that you needed more blood than they had ready, so they were waiting on a delivery from another hospital a few cities over.
“We don’t see injuries this bad often, but we’re doing what we can to make her comfortable while we wait,” his polite tone is almost annoying to Dean, how could he be so relaxed about being underprepared? “She’ll be waking up soon, you’re welcome to wait in her room.” And all of Dean’s frustration drains away immediately, he gives the doctor a small nod and they follow him to the last room in the hall.
You’re there, pale and sleeping, but you’re there. They approach you slowly, Bobby thanks the doctor and shuts the door softly. Sam falls in a chair by the bed, relief flooding him at seeing your chest rise and fall with steady breaths. Dean pulls a chair closer, grasping your hand so gently, like he’s afraid of hurting you more than he already had to. He knows you’d be pissed if you could see the guilt on his face, but he’s so overwhelmed with seeing you okay that he doesn’t care.
Your eyes flutter open, your brows furrowing at the bright light above you. Bobby hits the light switch and Sam turns on the small lamp by the bed, both of them reading you like a book. “Hey,” Dean whispers, his fingers tightening around yours. You just groan quietly, feeling dizzy and nauseous. “It’s okay,” he soothes, “they patched you up good.”
You glance around the room, seeing Sam’s watery eyes, Bobby’s stance near the wall. Your eyes land back on Dean, the emotion working overtime on his face. “Do you remember what happened?” Sam leans forward, clearing his throat around a sniffle. “Yeah,” you rasp, letting your eyes drift closed again.
Dean strokes his thumb over the back of your hand, bringing it up to place a kiss to your knuckles. “You scared us back there,” he whispers, “I’m sorry we weren’t there.” You open your eyes again and level him with the best serious look you can manage under all the painkillers. “Not your fault, they were so many steps ahead of us,” you sigh, trying to get a little strength back into your voice.
Sam and Dean just nod, watching as you adjust a little and let out a low moan. “Stay still for a bit,” Sam places a tender hand on your shoulder, pushing you back into the pillow gently. You try to relax, grateful when a nurse pushes the door open with a small tray in hand. She checks your monitors, shoos the boys to the other side of the room so she can lift your gown enough to make sure you’re not bleeding through your bandages, and leaves a cup of water, ice chips and a juice box on the side table for you.
“You’re going to be nauseous for a little while, we’re waiting on another bag of zofran to come with the delivery from the other hospital, so keep these close and drink that juice slowly,” she pulls vomit bags out of the cabinet in the corner, placing one on the bed and the rest on the table. When she sees the look you shoot at the bag, your face pale and green, she lets out a small, sympathetic sigh. “With where your stitches are, it’s going to hurt if you do throw up. Obviously you can’t control it, but I can get you more pain meds if it happens,” she nods when you thank her, writing quick notes and ducking out.
Dean goes right back to where he was, holding your hand and leaning into the bed.
“Maybe if you throw up they’ll knock you out again,” Bobby huffs, finally moving to sit in the last empty chair. You hum, “what did she mean about the delivery?” Sam explains it, smiling when you roll your eyes and laugh. “God, I lost that much blood?” You see how Dean looks away when you say it, clearly not in a laughing mood when it comes to how close you were to dying.
“Hey,” you whisper, turning your head to him and squeezing his hand, “I’m okay.” He gives you a long look, his eyes slipping closed and his hand raising yours so he can rest his cheek against it. He just nods, sighing when you stroke your thumb under his eye.
Sam reaches for the juice box, pushing the straw into it and holding it out to you. “Drink,” he says, regretting it immediately when you turn even greener. You shake your head, moving the little bag to your lap. “Let me get that last transfusion and then I’ll think about it,” you give him your best smile, your head feeling heavy when you turn to look at him. Dean insists on feeding you a few ice chips, saying something about how being dehydrated is the last thing you need, ignoring how you laugh and mutter that you won’t go down that easy. And the ice is nice, the cold soothing your throat and helping with the nausea.
They keep you company, letting you sleep when you can’t keep your eyes open anymore. It takes another hour or so but the nurse comes back with a cart, hooking your IV up to a bag of zofran and hanging a bag of blood next to it. “We’ll wake her in half an hour when the zofran is done,” she says to the room, patting Sam on the shoulder on her way out.
Bobby and Sam share a look, excusing themselves to go talk about the case while you rest, knowing that Dean would not be leaving your side for at least another day.
You wake when the nurse is swapping the bags out, thanking her quietly for her help and asking for more ice chips. She brings them with a smile, passing the cup to Dean and closing the door behind her. He hasn’t let go of your hand, and now that it’s just the two of you, you feel how he trembles in your hold. “Dean,” you whisper, giving him a small smile when he looks at you, “you know you saved me?”
He lets out a breath, fingers playing with the small cup in his hand. His head drops for a moment, when he raises it again you can see the tears in his eyes. “It shouldn’t have happened at all,” he murmurs, “I should have been there to protect you.” You shake your head, letting go of his hand to wipe a tear from his cheek, “we had no way of knowing, please don’t take this all on your shoulders.”
Another tear falls, his lip trembling when he sees your eyes welling up too. Slowly, he places his hand on the side of your head and leans down, laying his forehead against yours with a whisper of your name. “I can’t - “ he sucks in a deep breath, fighting back a sob, “that can’t happen again, not to you.” You nod, letting him cradle your face with such tender fingers it makes your heart flutter.
“I know,” you choke out, tears flowing freely, “I know, Dean.” He just nods, placing a delicate kiss on your forehead. There’s a moment where you wish he would just say it, that he’d admit he loves you and not flinch away from the word. You know he won’t - can’t, really - but god you wish he would. It’s not like he’s kept his feelings a secret, he just doesn’t act on them in the way you want.
You had confided in Sam months ago, scared that Dean would keep you at arms length forever, that he wouldn’t let himself have something good when all you wanted was to have him and hold him and love him. Sam had let you cry, wrapped an arm around you and held you how you needed, knowing his brother just needed more time. And what could he say? That Dean was so, so scared? That the only thing he could imagine was losing you, so he would rather not love at all? That’s not how you comfort your best friend.
So you just let Dean hold you close, let him wipe your tears and kiss your cheek and brush your hair back. You let him feed you ice chips and hold your juice box and rub gentle fingers over your wrist when you reach for him. There was no world where he wasn’t going to be perfectly attentive to you in a moment like this, he was made to nurture and love and protect, even when he was scared.
He stays beside you when the nurse comes back to check your bandages again, holding your hand when they need to be changed, keeping his eyes on your face when your gown has to come off. He helps you to the bathroom, feeds you the shitty hospital food, promises to text Sam to pick up good soup from the little diner you’d been eating at while working the case.
And Sam returns with a smile, carrying a bag of food that’s way too big. He stays for dinner, Bobby joins a little later with a bouquet of flowers and a small teddy bear in hand. You can’t help but laugh when he sets them on your little table and drops a kiss to the top of your head. “Doc said you’re stuck here for a few day,” he sighs, taking a seat, “but as soon as they let you out you can come stay with me.”
“Thanks, Bobby,” you smile, laying your head back with a sigh. You look him over, glancing at Sam too. “Did you guys get them all?” You let it linger, let them decide what they want to share about what they’d been up to while Dean was playing nurse for you. Sam just nods, shooting you a serious look. “There weren’t many left, you took out a third of them,” he winks, small smile pulling at his lips. That was more info than you were expecting. So the werewolf pack was six people, Sam wouldn’t have come back yet if he didn’t think it was over.
“I got a nice trophy for it,” you mumble, waving a hand loosely over your stomach. Bobby huffs, “how’s it feel?”
“As bad as it looks,” you grumble, letting out a laugh that immediately turns into a grimace when your stitches pull. Dean grabs your hand again, letting you squeeze until the pain calms down. He doesn’t say anything, just hits a button on the little remote connected to one of your monitors, flooding your IV with more painkillers. “You gotta stop doing that, I don’t have insurance” you mutter, feeling the warmth in your arm, your whole body getting heavy again. “Sorry,” he gives you a guilty smile, laughing when you crack an eye open and let your head tip to the side.
“Might as well enjoy it,” Sam chuckles, “we’ve already got it covered.” You raise your brows slowly, struggling to focus on him as your vision doubles. “Fuck yeah, free high,” you smile, letting out a long sigh.
When Sam and Bobby leave for the night, promising to bring something good for breakfast in the morning, you’re left with Dean once more. He pushes his chair against the wall, giving himself somewhere to rest his head, and pulls another chair over to prop his feet up. You watch him get comfy, see how he keeps an eye on you in case you need him.
“Dean?” You whisper, sleep pulling you under quickly. “Yeah, sweetheart?”
“I love you.”
He freezes, giving you the most adoring look you’ve ever seen, and stands to his feet slowly. He leans over you, eyes darting down to your lips before flicking back up. His hand comes up to cup your cheek, his thumb stroking over your skin. When there’s only an inch of space between you, he pauses.
“I love you too,” said so softly you would have missed it if you weren’t so close. He closes the gap, kissing you sweetly. He pulls away too soon, you try to chase him but he stops you with a gentle hand on your shoulder, “get some sleep, baby, we’ll talk in the morning.” All you can do is nod, your eyes slipping closed as soon as he steps away.

A year has passed. Y/N, Sam and Dean’s focus is on finding a way to remove the Mark Of Cain. They’ve managed to move on, kind of. But the past has got that pesky way of coming back and biting ya on the ass.
Part One - One Year On…
Part Two - No Rest
Part Three - Family
Part Four - Fountains
Part Five - Spotlight
Part Six - “I really need to kill something right now.”
He didn't steal 10 million dollars. They made that number up as a loss, they never fucking had it. Rockstar has spent more than a billion fucking dollars on GTA VI and will likely make billions more when it gets released.
Uber is a fucking shell game of a company designed to leech investor capital and output bootleg cabs.
Nvidia posted a profit in 2023 of $4.37 billion. This is like someone stealing less than a penny from me.
And they lock this kid in a prison hospital for LIFE?
What with GTA VI going up for pre-order i'd just like to remind everyone that rockstar conspired with the UK government to lock an 18-year-old away for life for hacking them.
Series Summary: Y/N Carter is a 3rd-grade teacher who’s fresh out of a 5-year relationship. To help cheer her up, her friends convince her to go out to a bar on a school night, something she never does nowadays, and things take an unpredictable turn. The stranger she meets and later has a one-night stand with may be harder to get rid of than she thought. And maybe more connected to her life than she thought, too…
A/N: Currently on a series rewrite. Please know that any chapters without the ((Rewritten) next to it may still follow the storyline, but writing styles have changed and will differ from what’s to come. (The characters written about, are not my own. Copyright goes to Supernatural and Warner Brothers.)
Title based on The Hollies - Long Cool Woman (in a Black Dress)

Will you crack under the pressure, or will you rise above the rest? And just when you think it's a simple salt and burn, things are not what they seem. (eventual sam x reader)

Nothing Safe is Worth the Drive - Series Masterlist
Summary: She wakes up in the woods with no memory of how she got there. No way home. And the sinking realization that she's walked into a story she already knows by heart.
Every face is familiar. Every danger, predictable. Every ending, inevitable. She tells herself she'll stay distant. Stay smart. Stay safe.
Because here's the truth: nothing safe is worth the drive when you're finally running toward something instead of away. And she would follow him into the dark, into the danger, into a story that was never supposed to be hers—just to feel like she belongs somewhere.
Some roads don't lead home. Some just lead to him.

Summary: Some love stories don't have happy endings. Some don't have endings at all...just quiet moments of almost, and the weight of words left unsaid.
She's known Jensen Ackles since they were kids. Best friends who grew up together, who knew each other's dreams and fears, who were always just a little too close to be only friends. But she never told him. She was too afraid—afraid of ruining the friendship, afraid of losing him completely, afraid that honesty would destroy the one constant in her life.
Now she's sitting in the third row of a church on May 15, 2010, watching him marry someone else.
This is a story about missed chances and the heartbreak of loving someone from a distance. About the courage it takes to speak up, and the cost of staying silent.
"My advice is always ruin the friendship, better that than regret it for all time"
Pairing: Jensen Ackles x female!reader
Warnings: None.

Dean Winchester x Hunter!Reader
Strangers to enemies to lovers
Summary:
Stuck working at a decaying Arizona motel and barely surviving paycheck to paycheck, you have learned to distrust drifters, especially charming ones. When Dean and Sam Winchester check in, Dean’s instant flirting irritates her, and you keep him at arm’s length, convinced he’s just another guy passing through.
But while cleaning their room, you discover their hidden weapons and realizes they’re hunters too, something she never expected from the men she dismissed as careless outsiders. The discovery forces you to reevaluate your assumptions and brings her into uneasy contact with the Winchesters, especially Dean, whose charm now feels less superficial and more complicated.
What begins as mutual suspicion and irritation slowly turns into a tense, charged connection, built on shared secrets, danger, and a reluctant understanding of each other’s worlds.

A/N: Hello, lovelies!! I hope all of you enjoy reading this, it’s a cute little series and it hits a little close to home. Please take into consideration that this is my first ever series and won’t be perfect. Inspiration credits to @zepskies series “Smoke Eater.” 🚒🧯😊
