More Than Soccer and Samba: uma rua suburbana da zona norte do Rio de Janeiro. Fiz essa obra em 2022 e usei as referências das pesquisas da Geanine Souza que estudava a arquitetura suburbana naqueles tempos. Aprendi muito com as observações dela.

Muitos elementos nesta obra foram sugeridos por vocês que me acompanham por aqui, inclusive a rua enfeitada para a Copa do Mundo. Acho que consegui capturar todos os detalhes desse cenário em um vídeo tão curto. Mas ta aí. Veja, reveja. Ah, e vou lançar um vídeo mais completinho em breve.

A few years after making the design, I'm finally able to install these faux wood support beams in my castle tower dollhouse.

I was inspired by these 15th-century support beams I saw in a book "The formation of Europe - Care for mind and body".

Making them a little fancier naturally. Sculpted with paperclay on cardboard and painted with acrylics.

I'm using B-7000 glue plus a mortise and tenon joint for security.

Leaving it to dry overnight, to later fill in the gaps with paperclay.

Work in progress: project FernField Castle, building my dream castle tower in 1/12 scale.

1:3 Miniatures: Breads And Herbs

Images 1 and 2: All breads made out of air dry clay, herb bundles made of wire and paper, all 1:3 scale, which is probably my favourite! It's so rare to find miniature artisans who work at this scale.

Image 3: The basket was not handmade, but it was customized (handpainted and aged).

Image 4: Fitting just right in the hand of an 18 inch doll.

Mountain Temple, Mixed media on satin spar, 12" tall

These little satin spar towers always remind me of the Guilin Karst, so I turned it into a tiny mountain! To make a mountain temple I looked at lots of reference pictures of the Hengshan Hanging Temple, which is a very cool building you should look up immediately. Because it's satin spar, the mountain glows beautifully on a lighted stand and makes for a cool little lamp.
