Paladins at the Waterpark
I went to a Waterpark and got inspired and also want to bury my sorrows of s6 in nice headcanons so here we go
Itâs Lanceâs idea first and foremost and Allura is the first one to agree which means all of them gotta go
Lance challenges Keith to race with him on the slides to see who gets to the bottom first, and keeps score all through the day
Keith thinks this is pointless and childish but heâs not gonna back down either so he races Lance anyway and actually has a lot of fun
Shiro sees the lazy river and people just floating by on rings and his stress just fcking melts away as he goes along, 10/10 what a great idea
Pidge is disgusted by everything like youâre all swimming in chlorine and pee and spit and sweat and everyone is barefoot thatâs disgustingâ are those water guns im gonna get every single one of you by the end of this day
Hunk is not an adrenaline junkie by any stretch of the imagination so the big slides are an immediate Nope, but will join Lance in a double ring down some of the slower and longer ones, mostly chills in the wave pool with Coran and Pidge when sheâs convinced to swim in
Keith may think this is stupid but donât try and tell me he wouldnât also drag Lance up the biggest and scariest slide there bc Lance was talking a big game to him
Lance as he looks down the Big Fuck-Off slide heâs about to go down: âwow okie so that looks pretty far down haha looks reaaaally fun do u wanna maybe go first buddy????â
Allura tries every single slide and attraction there but in honesty her fave is also the lazy river, just her and Shiro floating on down catching up on some sunbathing and laughing when they get splashed by the water hoses
Hunk: âguys please put more suncream on youâre gonna burn come on it takes one second-â
Shiro, walking around in his black sports trunks and sunglasses pushing his glorious wet hair back from his face, 6 pack out and back muscles sharp enough to cut glass: âI have the strangest feeling Iâm being stared atâ
Allura, walking beside him in a gorgeous white bikini, hair sticking to her shoulders, also with her 6 pack out and thighs built for crushing skulls: âthatâs so spooky I know exactly what you meanâ
Lance ends up taking a break and falls asleep in the sun and Keith didnât want to drag him back out to the slides but he also doesnât want to go alone and heâs worried Lance might be too exposed so he just puts a towel over him and pulls out a book he packed in case he got bored
Course Shiro isnât gonna avoid the slides so he asks if Keith wants to go on the fun ones with him instead and it works out pretty great
Pidge: âI feel disgusting I need 4 showers and a decontamination chamberâ
Coran always makes sure everyone is drinking enough water
Lance has probably accidentally swallowed half the water park at this point
Hunk is the first to ask about food but come on climbing so many stairs and swimming so much makes a growing boy hungry okay
Lance and Allura would probably be the people trying out doing handstands and flips under the water and who can hold their breath the longest
Keith burns the most, his cheeks and shoulders are cherry red by the end of the day and he goes right back to thinking this was stupid and childish
Lance, rubbing after sun care moisturiser he packed into Keithâs shoulders: âI still won though right?â
Keith, trying not to have a Gay Panic: âwhatever you wantâ
Itâs a big success overall, and everyone is wiped out on the way back
Pidge is asleep and Keith nodding off next to her trying not to let himself fall onto anyone
Hunk and Lance are just chatting about their favourite parts of the day and Lance gives the scoop on who he thought the hottest lifeguards were, while Hunk recalls all the funny little things they did while Lance was busy screaming his way down most the water park
Allura admits how fun she found that and thinks human past times are well worth it
