Dog loves snow

Election Day was stressful.

The summer before 8th grade I was on vacation with my extended family, and my aunt told us that she was so excited for her friend who just found out that she got on Saturday Night Live. I started watching SNL that season, simply because I thought it was so cool to watch a friend of my Aunt's on TV. I haven't missed an episode since. Amy Poehler is 100% responsible for my introduction to the world of comedy and I am endlessly grateful. Even more important however, is the fact that my Aunt is awesome, not because her friend is famous but because she would take a moment out of her very limited time that she gets to see her friend to get me such a thoughtful gift. It's a really great example of the incredibly kind and thoughtful person she is, which is a big part of why this gift means so much to me. The fact that she is thanked in the book makes it even more special for me.
