HAPPIEST PLACE IN THE WORLD
Can you get me a coffee?
I never thought this question would bring me so much rage. This week a new coworker asked me to get him coffee. The entitlement and the misogyny wasn’t in the question but his the tone. He was trying to dress me down, he was trying to me feel small. Like everyone women who has ever experienced anything like this I questioned my self. Did I overreact? Am I being overly sensitive? Luckily this happened in front of my coworker. She also happens to be only other woc at my job. She validated my feelings but I’m so scared to talk to my boss about it. I know I should I’m just scared that some how it might get turned around on me.
tag yourself, I’m a chaotic fashion gay
lawful fashion gay- ranges anywhere from casual to fancy, but sticks to simple safe things everyone agrees looks good
tacky fashion gay- has a lot of clashing pieces of clothing that never quite come into a good looking outfit but sometimes looks endearing for it
comfort fashion gay- does NOT care about fashion and is usually wearing very soft basic clothes, you could look in their closet and have no idea what’s their normal clothes and what’s their pajamas
chaotic fashion gay- breaks every single rule known to man and somehow it works; has zero fear and at least five conflicting aesthetics which should not logically go together

Do people think capybara are cute now because I grew up thinking they were food.
fresh prince of bel air (1990-1996) truly was a gift
questions men should ask themselves more often
- am i being unnecessarily forceful/loud?
- am i talking over others? are those others mostly women?
- why does this person feel like that? how can i acknowledge their feelings?
- does she seem comfortable around me? if not, why?
- am i devaluing women as a joke/when they make me angry? am i insulting women’s appearance and sanity whenever they make me angry?
- am i listening to other people’s knowledge/experiences or am i only talking about my own? how can i share my knowledge/experiences in a respectful way that doesn’t monopolize conversation or infantalize others (primarily women)?
This is vital.
Me meeting a new white person: you’re on fucking thin ice, buddy.
LET’S NOT FORGET: THE COPS ALLOWED THIS VIOLENCE TO HAPPEN. BLACK LIVES MATTER ARE MET WITH TEAR GAS, K9’S AND RIOT POLICE WHEN THEY ORGANIZE PEACEFUL PROTESTS YET THE POLICE DON’T GIVE A SHIT WHEN A BUNCH OF LITERAL NAZIS RUN AROUND WITH TORCHES ATTACKING STUDENTS. FUCK WHITE PRIDE. FUCK THE POLICE. AND IF YOU “DON’T AGREE”, FUCK YOU.
The police even said they dropped the ball because hey didn’t intervene aggressively enough soon enough. They didn’t do their fucking jobs but are ready to roll out the tanks with Black people with their hands up
“is the reason you didn’t get married because her name would be lisa sherborne-seaborn?” “yeah”
you know that straight “gay people don’t think or talk about being gay all the time!!” bullshit they use to justify why gay characters in media shouldn’t be visibly gay
i literally do think about being gay all the time
every time het culture is shoved in my face i think about being gay, every time i see a cute girl i think about being gay. every time someone talks about their love life or asks about mine i think about being gay. i think about it randomly when i space out and when i eat breakfast or go grocery shopping
if gay people aren’t visibly gay in front of you, i have news! you’re likely a homophobe and they don’t feel safe expressing their identity with you around!
